Myles Turner.

Myles Turner would open things up so much for everyone offensively and it would bring even more defense than what the Knicks have now. Supposedly there are still talks of the Knicks trying to trade for him but they look like they're going no where.

Why is no one going after Lauri Markkanen? Feel like he was a better shooting Porzingis. Is he terrible on D? I admit I haven't watched much of him but whenever the Bulls were in town, the guy looked pretty good.

Zach Collins 3yr/22m was a pretty good one but we didn't get it.

Even if we don't make a trade now, maybe we'll revisit it before the trade deadline.

I’m a fan of Myles…that dude would open up so much for our team.

I'd like for the Knicks to make Taj Gibson an assistant coach and use his roster slot and $ to sign Aron Baynes.

If Baynes is horrible, and I don't think he would be, Knicks can cut him and activate Taj off the coaching staff. lol.

I guess there is some legitimacy to the Turner rumors, though to me it always felt a bit fan/click driven.

I don't think he's really available, at all, or not at any realistic price, but he'd solve having some offensive ability in the C rotation.
I'd rather send Noel out for him, but at this point I'll trust the Knicks FO & coaching staff. Mitch is a great defender, but maybe his commitment is lacking. Or the Knicks feel he'll walk/ask for too much $, though not sure how $ fits into their calculations after they've kind of maxed out the cap for a bit, though I'd guess the calculation is $ in years 3 and 4 of a contract, and not years 1 and 2

Wouldn’t have minded him at that price. His original asking price was ridiculous. Same with Shroeder.

He'd be a better fit for sure on this team. But I would imagine that the trade package that Indy would be looking for would be Robinson and some combination of Obi and/or IQ and/or draft assets. If Robinson wasn't still walking in a boot it probably would be more likely.

Same. Knicks would have had to execute a sign and trade though.

Kinda makes sense cause Indy has so many bigs, and Sabonis and Turner don’t play well together, I think. They also have Goga waiting in the wings.

As for Mitch v Turner, I think the main thing is that Turner can stretch the floor. Mitch might be practicing on his shot, but I’m skeptical about any improvements until his free throw rate starts shooting up. I think he’s going to look much better with the improvements we’ve made on offense though. More spacing, more people who can drive, more people who can shoot.

Oh good news definitely. Robinson's going to be key for the Knicks next season whether he's in a Knick uniform or not. I don't doubt the Knicks interest in Turner so you have to believe that with them overpaying to bring Noel back that Robinson definitely would be on his way out if they can convince Indy.

I have a feeling that the reason why the PACERS are interested in trading Turner is to get away from the 2 big lineup and looking to do what most are teams are doing with more of a real stretch 4 and have Sabonis man the middle. I know Turner can stretch the floor right now but the problem is on the defensive side of things where both are not great on the perimeter defensively. Not sure how long Turner's contract is but if they have time on it they can just kick this can down months to a year until they have to finally make a decision. If the Knicks want Turner, Leon should get Turner's agent to force the out. Turner's agent is Bill Duffy and he's been around for a while now, I'm sure Leon has some kind of relationship with him.

You have to make that trade if it’s available.

Might have to wait until newly signed players could be traded and then you could do Burks + Obi for Turner or Burks + Mitch + Knox + pick or something like that. Turner makes too much otherwise.

Yeah makes sense. I wouldn’t even make him a coach. Just tell him stay in shape and relax
