The Nuggets want to put Melo in a bad situation in Denver for leaving them, and giving them Al Harrington will prevent NJ from getting another superstar. NJ's intent is to hope to sign Chris Paul the following season, but taking on Al Harrington's contract will not make them be able to sign CP3.

Who would the Knicks trade though to get Melo, obviously we are probably going to trade Randolph to Houston for a first rounder. But does that mean the Knicks get rid of Wilson Chandler? I don't think Denver wants Gallinari.

I think denver is stupid i would just do a favors,harrington for murphy and all picks, they are going to screw them selfs for a curry,randolph deal lol or melo walks. they better be nice to the nets or welcome the randolph era with his marbury attiude and dormeanor.

Call me crazy, but I would take on Al if that means we give up less in terms of young talent. But I would not stop there. I would ship Al immediately. I don't think he has much value, probably not any value. Would Orlando do a Al for Duhon/Q swap? I am sure they would. Q's contract can be easily swapped at some point and Duhon would be a valuable backup who can run P&R. Get it done Donnie.

What do you mean? Reports are that its his new agent that is pushing to get a deal done since they havent made a cent from Melo yet?

One thing perhaps underrated in all of this is Denvers desire for financial savings. I was hearing on the NBA network how one of the reasons Denver is holding up a deal with NJ is that Favors + Murphy barely nets them any savings from Carmelo's contract. Eddy Curry as an expiring + Fields = big-time savings. If the Knicks could swing a deal for Melo' using Fields + Curry + a 1st-rounder from Randolph, that would be a pretty damn good deal for us. I love Fields, but obviously Melo' is the bigger difference-maker.

The face of your franchise is leaving, of course Denver is being sour about it., the don't want to see Melo win a championship. So they want to put him ina bad situation to win in NJ.

I'm pretty sure Denver can dump Al Harrington to Cleveland, a team that has trouble scoring and is desperate for some talent.
