Why not just get Minny's pick now? It's not like AR is getting any PT as is. Get that pick while it's on the table.

Because this years draft class is weak and AR still has potential. Don't expect a trade for their pick unless it involves Carmelo.

It's not Minny's pick, it's either the Memphis or Jazz picks, both of which are, at least, lottery protected. No thanks.

The problem is they (Nuggets fans) don't think much of anything we offer so a lot of them think they'd be better off letting Carmelo walk as opposed to accepting "the Knicks trash".

I think they're more concerned about screwing Carmelo and making sure that he doesn't get what he wants than they are about actually improving their franchise in a post Carmelo world. One hopes their management is of a more mature attitude, but their abject refusal to talk to Walsh isn't exactly reassuring that they haven't allowed it to get personal and haven't fallen into a similar 'anywhere but NY' frame of mind.

If Denver lets Melo walks and gets no value for him, they are going to lose a ton of fans for their terrible front office.

Either they still think they can get more value for him or they are still delusional thinking they can resign Melo.

What do you guys think of the Benching of RIP Hamilton, Kenny Smith says that means that a trade is Imminent within the Next 24 to 48 hours.

Whats your take on this?

If that was true, why would every other piece in the trade--apart from Troy Murphy--be playing?

Personally, I'd feel a lot better about NY eventually landing Anthony if it weren't for Houston. If it weren't for Houston Denver would have to move toward Walsh if Anthony rejected a Neyt's contract extension.. Houston gives them a fallback option if CA kills the NJ trade. Adding to that Morey looks to be in cockblock mode and they have the resources and motivation to do a rental and Denver just might ship him there to spite NY. Now NY could still get him but it'd be more problematic than a straight NY/Denver deal.

Another reason is if they sit everyone they wont have enough players to play.

That makes no sense considering everyone who is apart of the deal played last night. Kenny Smith doesn't realize that Rip and the Pistons relationship is strained to say the very least.

even if we do get a first round pick is it enough to get carmelo? NJ has multiple picks, the next pick that we could offer after this year would be in 2014, and then i suppose we could throw in both GS 2nd round picks. this would be the package

Wilson Chandler or Gallinari
2011 1st round pick
2014 1st round pick
2012 GS 2nd round pick
2013 GS 2nd round pick

First, the Piston's coach has no idea what he is doing over there. Second, Hamilton has been pouting cause he was already taken out of the starting lineup. His benching have nothing to do with a deal. If it was a deal, they could have told him he wasn't going to play and he wouldn't have been shocked like he was. Even Prince called the benching, buffoonery.

He's been playing like crap since going to the bench. Doesn't exactly shock me.

When is Kenny right about anything? He's a small step above Charles. No one ever calls these guys on their BS. 48hrs from now he'll act like he never made a prediction. The guy is a clown.

Why would Denver allow the Nets to rack up wins? They want a higher draft pick.

If that was the Case why would they Trade Carmelo to the Nets? More wins...

My head just exploded. If they don't trade Melo then they don't get the Nets' pick and this whole thing doesn't matter. Clearly you must have meant something else.
