oh yeah just a bit of advice: final cut pro is the best editing software out there in my opinion- but u have to have mac!!! a new version of final cut will come out this summer that sounds amazing!!

sony vegas has improved quite a lot throughout the years but it does not compete against final cut- but its always good to start with sony vegas as it is basic and then explore other software such as final cut, avid and adobe premiere@!! final cut pro is pretty simple and tends to make ur life a lot easier - and with the new one coming out it will be making our lives a whole lot easier!!
