Rezound > ThunderBolt.

Rezound has the best resolution of any smartphone today, including the iPhone. Rezound has a dual-core processor, better battery, better front-facing camera, and can record in 1080p. Oh...and it's the first US phone to incorporate Beats software.

Android is software found in high-end phones from companies like Samsung, HTC, and Motorola. Droid is a line of phones from Motorola that incorporate Android software.

If there's any phone from Google that someone should get now, it's the Galaxy Nexus.

Thank you for clearing that up for me.

So if I stick to ATT, is the Samsung Galaxy S2 the best I can get?

Yep although the Atrix 2 is a little cheaper in price.

What about this Google Galaxy Nexus, should I look into this.

PS: I do not mind spending some cash. I rather spend money now and have the best phone in the long run.

I like touch screens as well.

But does the Galaxy Nexus provide the flexibility of a touchscreen along with a kwerty keyboard? If you are a big texter like me or post on RealGM, twitter or FB from your smartphone you will value a keyboard over solely a touchscreen. Especially if you have large hands/fingers.

I forgot the S2 Skyrocket came out so yeah, get the S2 Skyrocket. The Infuse by Samsung is a nice phone as well, but may be too big for some hands with its beastly 4.5 inch screen. iPhone is more compact and new-user friendly and has the best music player interface (though Google's new Google Music isn't bad), but sacrifices customization and screen real estate.

I've actually haven't had a chance to play with the Galaxy Nexus since it just got released for Verizon today so I couldn't tell you, but I'm sure with its huge screen, texting shouldn't be a problem. I love QWERTY keyboards and if I could have one in every phone I own, I wouldn't mind it even if it sacrifices how thin a phone is. However, I SWYPE now and it definitely isn't a bad alternative. The Galaxy Nexus won't support SWYPE at launch, but it will soon. The Galaxy Nexus also comes pre-installed with Google's latest Android software, Ice Cream Sandwich.

I've played with the Droid RAZR too and I'm in the same boat as you.

Like I've told you before, you can't go wrong with either the Rezound or the Galaxy Nexus. Rezound will get ICS early next year while Galaxy Nexus doesn't have a microSD slot (but comes pre-installed with I believe 32 GB of internal storage which would be more than enough for me, but I like having the option to transfer microSD cars).

Definitely doesn't have 4G. It's the 4S. :D

Yeah, the SWYPE feature is pretty cool and it's more convenient when using a solely touchscreen phone. But QWERTY keyboard will always be my preference as I can type naturally with two hands (using thumbs) and get things out faster, as opposed to one-finger swyping. Swyping can also get you into some word mixup mishaps if you aren't paying attention or hit send too fast. LOL

I definitely agree and it's happened to me a lot, but the options for SWYPE have much improved. You could customize speed vs accuracy and it suggests words for every word you SWYPE now.

Yes. Look up the EVO Shift and look online for the upcoming Droid 4 as well.

Yes, that's the phone I'm using right now to type this. Very nice keyboard yet also has a touchscreen comparable in size to the iPhone. I love this phone. Check it out and let us know what you ultimately went with.

You should research all of them for a week, especially if it's your first smartphone. It's a $200-$300 decision (if you're staying with your carrier, much more for first-time activation fees if you're switching from one carrier to another) on something you'll be using for the next year or two.

By the way, what is so bad about Windows phones? What do these phones you guys mentioned ultimately have that Windows phones do not have.
