Re: Amare contradicting himself
Could Nash convince PHX to trade for Amare and take one last shot at a ring. NY would have to eat the contracts of Channing Frye, Hakiem Warrick and Jared Dudley and maybe take a future pick back. I know PHX didnt want to commit 5 years to Amare Stoudemire, but this time they will only commit to 3. They also clear some bad contracts. They will have Gortat-Stoudemire-Hill-Nash, this years 1st round pick, and about $12m in cap space. The likelihood is they make the playoffs the next 2 years and stay under the lux tax. Maybe they win a series or 2. But Nash goes out as a Sun on a positive note.
Additionally, Pheonix dumps 45.8m in sal in the deal. So PHX needs to decide if Amare is worth $20m over 3 years.

If he wants the Knicks to have any type of roster stability, Lin needs to be the starting point guard of this team until he proves he's not the long term solution.
Of course Stat is contradicting himself. When he said the Knicks need roster stability, that was a completely self-serving comment. Translation: What he MEANT was "Knicks, please don't trade me."
You folks need to get used to understanding Stat's comments. The guy is a liar and a fraud.
"I feel phenomenal...Everything in my body is phenomenal....My heath is phenomenal---never felt better....I gained 30 lbs of muscle--I feel phenomenal."
I concur, this is exactly what he means. He needs the Knicks more than the Knicks need him if this is the best we get form 100 MILLION DOLLARS!!
But I betcha this, if we end up being stuck with him and does not improve his play, he will regret the day that he wanted to come here, Knick fans will ruin his legacy for the rest of his life and the rest of his lifes life!!!!!!

The reason they didn't want to resign Amar'e was because their doctors felt he would have knee problems by the 3rd year of the contract. I'd say there's zero chance they bring him back.

He hurt his back, added too much bulk and didn't get easy opportunities to get into a rhythm. When he did he knocked it down.
