Dragic never had that freedom in the offense the way Lin had in that stretch of games before MDA was fired. Who is to say that Dragic couldn't have put up similar numbers if HE was the PG during that same stretch of games?

You must not watch any Houston games. They ran an offense similar to MDA's where the PGs had all the freedom and green light. Lowry posed similar numbers as Dragic as a starter and a better record.

How about a good point being that this may cause teams to sleep on Lin, and decide that Dragic is the one they want? Lin gets left alone. Then look to get Nash in hear a season or two, so Lin can learn from him. Lin, I am sure, learned a few things from Bibby and Baron this past season. More exposure, the better.

Great article

I love the end where they suggest we might get Lins early bird rights and then use the 5Mil on Dragic

imagine such a wealth of point guard play!

yes, when teams clammer over one player - like they did with Gasol this summer - they often miss out on another - as they did with Chandler

Ill be pleased with Lin at the end of the day

Dragic has more experience and got to learn from Steve Nash for three years. I like where Jeremy is at right now.

Lin has shown the ability to run the club by himself without any play calling and win without "stars", with role players like Jeffries, Walker, Novak and Fields.

Give me Lin any day of the week long term

Yeah, it's one thing for Lin warming the bench for a 2 time MVP Steve Nash but entirely different if it's for Goran Dragic like the article suggested. You think Dolan would be pleased to watch his cash cow Lin sitting on the bench for this no name Dragic? You really think Dragic would have the respect of Melo and Amare?

I remember "The Machine" getting in Dragic's head a few years ago in the playoffs and have never thought the same of him ever since. I'd rather Lin in crunch time and think that he will prove to be a better, more clutch player.

Lin needs to improve that left hand, he does that? The sky the limit for him.

I love the idea of Lin and Nash best of all

Not only does Nash have everything in the world to teach Lin but they complement eachothers weaknesses well and Nash can play SG when we need him to

dragic is a much better player

better ball skills, experienced in POs, knows the rigor of 82 game schedule

but lin is a cash cow so he stays

You are not rational bro. Started 0 games and averaged 15 mpg in POs = experienced? Never played a full 82 games in a season and had a grand total 38 starts in a 4 year career = knew the rigor of schedule?

Toney Douglas is more experienced than Goran Dragic.

well I guess its how you define it

on Defense Lin is better at the 2 where on offense Nash is the vastly superior shooter

There are PGs like Dragic and Sessions that I would probably start over Lin if I was playing one game tomorrow, but, in terms of giving multi-year contract to, I'd take my chances with Lin. It would be interesting to revisit this comparison same time next year.

Is Nash able to come to the NYK for the veteran minimum?

well said

I wonder how many other teams will feel the same way

Lakers offering 5 mil might be attractive, for example, for a cali boy

Dragic was unable to get his largely healthy team to the playoffs while running the point.

Lin led a crippled team composed largely of veteran min. players and rookies to playoff position while posting historic numbers for a first-time starter not seen since Jordan, Shaq, etc.

Give me Dragic any day of the week.
