Why the hell did Sacto give up on Trob?? Is Patrick Patterson that tempting? What is going on?

I missed it. What was your bet?

Meanwhile... Perk not playing. Something up for sure in OKC.

Probably a good move but like with the Celts Perk has a pretty big "emotional leader" role...

fantasy basketball. i'm up 6-3 on the guy i'm playing. one of the 3 i'm losing is FT%. i'm watching the game for vasquez.

perk not playing is probably that gortat reason. i'd like that idea. i'm tellin ya, i would really put thunder to win it all if they do get gortat

Yup. He's either already gone or damn close. IF that's what it is, it's a VERY good trade for OKC. When they made that Harden trade I said - look, they're going to make a play for a big at the deadline to bring some balance. They needed a skilled scorer up front.

I figured it would be Martin that would go but this would be even better as Martin fills a need for that team. Great move.

The only question really is whether they have that leadership without Perk.

that's exactly what i said. they need a big man presence to finally win it all. that's what i've been thinking the last 2-3 years. i always thought they'd try to go for someone like boozer or west. i wouldn't take gortat over boozer/west, but he's better than perk

i do love perk as a leader, and he's an old school bruiser. but gortat has that huge nose and looks angry, and ibaka can block anyone. but losing perk as a leader would hurt them, but i think OKC would look better in the end

Right - not as good as Boozer BUT they keep Martin who is a big part of what they're doing this year. Maybe for that team you even prefer Gortat because he's bigger... Ibaka to the 4.

It would be a very well constructed team.

exactly what i'm thinking. at first i didn't like them getting martin, but HE'S the SG they need, not Harden. westbrook and durant drive enough as it is. a spot up guy like martin is the SG they needed. yeah he's a liability on defense, but they have great weakside helpers on defense. good point about ibaka. he is supposed to be a PF. good point

i like perkins' toughness on the thunder. i also am a big fan of lamb and do not think that gortat (and tucker) is not as good as perkins+first+lamb is (for this team).

Yup - refs botched a call (ball hit rim but they called a 24) and he got off the bench to bitch.

Harden with a halfcourt 3 at the buzzer. Thabo thinking he's Alan Anderson,..

Eff. How bad? He was an enormous steal for my fantasy team in the later rounds on draft day.
