I can't root for this tool anymore. I am starting to think it would be best for them to just spiral out of control. Maybe he can be fired this year.

That one season under D'Antoni ruined Woodson.

Felton
Shump
Melo
Stat
Tyson

At this point I don't understand what the logic could be for any other starting lineup.

It does show you just how patient STAT is though... I feel disrespected for this man and he hasn't been a distraction at all at a time when most players would be...

Amare's defense hasn't been good. Especially with all the switching. We need to use a zone.

I've lost all confidence in Woody

Whose defense has been good?

Putting Stat in the starting lineup also pushes Shumpert back to SG, removing Kidd who has looked his age lately... which may actually have a positive effect on the defense.

I want the media to start hoving over Woody's scalp like vultures. I want them to smell blood and start inquiring about why Amar'e isn't even in consideration to start.

It can't be about the line of thinking of Melo being best suited for the four because we had a stretch with Melo/Camby/Chandler as our frontcourt.

Woody thinks we're dumb!

Why is everyone so certain Stoudemire starting would be helpful? Far and away the best stretch of the season came with Stoudemire not even active.

Wait, so Woodson isn't into Amare's D, puts on thinking cap, and decides to insert into the starting lineup the exact only forward on the team who is clearly worse than Amare on D, hands down?

Yeahhhh Baby!

Lol...Woodson has never been a good coach. Not sure why it's so hard to understand. People are acting like he was Phil Jackson in Atlanta.

Didn't we suffer all the small ball with D'Antoni...Woodson needs to change.

copeland should have been getting burn all year... but not as a starter. he has great chemistry with pablo. his scoring makes up for his bad defense more so than novak. all novak can do is shoot. at least cope can go to the hole, pull up mid range, etc.

stat should start period. don't know why woodson is so against it, maybe he believes the idea that melo and stat can't coexist.

ray
shump
melo
stat
chandler

take stat out early for JR. then take out shump for kidd. then start the 2nd with the bench...

pablo/kidd
kidd/jr
jr/cope
novak/kmart/stat
camby/sheed/stat

you get the picture. stat can start but still play most his minutes with the 2nd unit. no reason not to do this other than sheed and camby still being hurt. even then you can mix and match, play kurt some at the 4 or kmart now that we signed him.

This why when people complain about a coach or player or whatever, the most annoying answer is always "It doesn't matter who we get, anyone is better than X"

Under Woodson we're worried about becoming contenders, under MD we worried about making the playoffs.

We'll see if that is still true in a month

They both have the fatal flaw of not being able to adjust and not holding players accountable. That is huge for a coach.

As well he should. Now that we have Kenyon Martin signed and our two vets are back in practice then he needs to consider some alternate lineups. The only thing left to do is dismiss James White and sign Delonte West. He's crazy or bi-polar, but I think Jason Kidd can keep him in line.
