Not necessarely, that rumor's been going on for a week. A three-team trade with the Cavs (or another team) is a possibility. The Cavs have shown interest in KG and are willing to offer cap relief (a trade exception and draft picks) but I don't think KG would accept a trade to Cleveland. It will be difficult for the Nets to acquire both KG and Pierce because Boston would need to absorb too many contracts/salaries back in the trade and the Celtics would rather a trade exception, young players and/or draft picks. If a trade happens, it will probaly involve at least three teams IMO.

As you mentioned Lopez, he could be shipped to Cleveland, KG to Brooklyn and a massive $15 mil TPE (and maybe a draft pick) to Boston.

Pierce and JOe Jo together is terrible but that's a scary frontcourt. Lopez and Garnett together is very similar to Duncan/Robinson back in the day.

...Looking like the best team in New York if they pull off that steal of a trade. Though, still not beating the Heat, I'd think. I'd also look to make one of Pierce/Johnson a sixth man.

We practically destroyed KG and Pierce in the playoffs before the elbow

And Brooklyn sucks like literally they are not a good team like at all

**** like this happens every year with Boston

I can't see Pierce being dealt right now maybe at the deadline and I could see KG probably only choosing a select few places to finish off(SA or Chi)
