Just a few random observations/opinions. Cody Rhodes, Wade Barrett and Dolph Ziggler are underrated/underappreciated, especially Cody. He's a sound technician, cuts a pretty decent promo and has a marketable look. He's been in no man's land for way too long. I'm hoping he can be heavily involved in the main event picture when he comes back. Barrett's push was derailed b/c he got hurt last year, but he defintitely has a lot of potential. If you rememeber the Nexus angle Barrett was the sole mouthpiece and catalyst for the only legit heel stable in the last 5-6 years until the Shield came up. As for Ziggler, even though he was WH champ I think he's been a victim of poor booking. Definitely a top 5 performer in the WWE and deserves more acknowledgement.
WWE is too dependent on part timers i.e. Rock/Y2J/Brock. Those guys take the top spots in the major PPVs so it's hard to really build new stars and give the underrated wrestlers named above their true shots.
What's with the Big Show crybaby act from Monday night? This was the same heel Orton and Sheamus weren't sure if they could trust in their match against the shield at WM now they've turned him into a big marshmellow.
Divas division needs a makeover. I like AJ, Kaitlyn, Leyla, and Natalya, the rest are not that impressive in the ring. As much as I love wrestling and everything related to it I find Total Divas hard to watch b/c it's "reality television" and it comes off so scripted. Despite the fact that WWE product is scripted anyway, having a reality show that tries to be real, yet it's so obviously staged makes it more difficult to follow.

I haven't been this intrigued in how things are going for years. The whole corporate storyline is flowing very well and seems to effect more than just Daniel Bryan. Cody, Dolph getting some pushes (though Dolph dropped the world title) seems great too. My only issue is Daniel Bryan getting beat down every week. I realize this is going to progress over the long run but 3 weeks in a row with Bryan down it kind of is weird. Why not have him realize what is going on and plan ahead for these sorts of situations. For all I care, carry brass knucks in his trunks and the next time the shield and orton try to get involved knock all 3 the **** out and watch Orton run away while Bryan stands tall.

On a side note I have even been skimming through episodes of Smackdown more because I like Bryan being the vocal point of the company.

This is considered baiting. This is your only warning.

EDIT: Wait...how many warnings do you already have against your record? Wow.

Yea the quality hasnt been bad lately. I used to watch it on a regular basis until 2004-05. Started to watch it again on a weekly basis around 2010-11. Not a big fan of the 3 hour raw. Scale it back to 2 hours. The show is filled with recaps of what happened earlier in the show, on Smackdown or last week.

Really do wish Sting does comes over to WWE. At least for a year. Have him face 'Taker at Mania. Then have him face numerous quality opponents and have him chase the title.

Used to be really way back, haven't really watched it much in recent years.

Favorite Wrestlers (not really any particular order):

Andre the Giant
Bill Goldberg
Ultimate Warrior
Mil Mascaras
Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka
Tony Atlas
The Wild Samoans - Afa and Seka (sp?).
Randy "Macho Man" Savage
The Rock
"Superstar" Billy Graham
Batista
"Rowdy" Roddy Piper
Ivan Koloff
Kevin Nash
Edge
Rey Mysterio
Jesse "The Body" Ventura
George "The Animal" Steele
The Undertaker

So that's like what? 19-20 guys. Most are old school guys, again since I stopped really watching wrestling. The Rock everyone knows and when I do watch in recent years it's really been to watch him. Batista, Edge and Mysterio are the other 3 recent year guys that you just notice when you scan through the channels since they stand out for various reasons.

Nope...wasn't really a fan of Hulk Hogan (sorry Hulk fans). Didn't reallly like Rick Flair either. Wasn't a fan of the Free Birds or the Horseman (they looked like a gang of fat rednecks lol not guys having to do with the Apocalypse).

The guy that probably really got me started in watching wrestling was Mil Mascaras, really the first guy that made wearing a mask in the ring really mainstream in the US and which guys like Rey Mysterio carried on. Probably my favorite wrestler was Jimmy Snuka.

Just announced for Night of Champions...

United States Championship Match
Dean Ambrose vs. Dolph Ziggler

This is definitely the match I am most excited about on the card. For those who haven't taken to any of the newer generation of wrestlers, watch these two guys.

Now that im more of a casual fan rather than hardcore, I prefer wrestlers with good mic skills. Ambrose is definitely one of the best guys on the mic. He doesnt do many promos, but he always delivers.

Not a big fan of Ziggler turning face. I felt the Ziggler/AJ pairing was entertaining. They did away with it too quickly. Dont feel that the writers will use him properly as a face.

Both have solid futures though. They are fine where they are right now, solid mid-carders.

started watching again in 04 although i am just a casual fan these days. I mostly watch the PPVs to keep up with the stories and get some good matches. weekly shows are just too much for me.

anyway some of my current favs are ziggler, punk, del rio

oh and todays rock sucks. either be a wrestler or stay in hollywood. 3 shows a year doesn't make you a wrestler. And this is coming from one of the biggest of rocks fans.
too many urkels on your team, that's why your wins low

Very good booking by the WWE. Can't see Ambrose losing the title though. Dean Ambrose is going to be a major player in the WWE.

One guy that never really stuck that I was kinda surprised didn't stick was Nathan Jones. For those that watched Brad Pitt's movie Troy...he's the gigantic guy that Achilles kills at the start of the movie. Jones was REALLY 6'11" and 360lbs and was one of the strongest men in the world at the time.

I don't have the time to watch WWE anymore but I do like to hear about who is current and what's going on.

I really like what I've seen from the Shield the few times I've seen it at the gym or heard things from friends. They are like Nexus but seem to have more potential to last longer.

CM Punk definitely is a key piece to what WWE has become, he's one of my all time fave wrestlers and cuts really good promos.

Always been a fan of Orton, some say his pace is a little slow and I do notice it too, but he's a great heel.

What is happening with Cena and Sheamus? You guys said they're kinda out of the picture?

What kind of push is Rhodes getting? I really wanted "Dynasty" (is that what it was called with orton and debiase jr) to workout cause I thought those 3 were perfect together but it just didn't have that "Evolution" success.

Is Lesnar still there? How is he?

With TNA looking like it's gonna go bankrupt more and more (especially with Spike TV being removed from Canadian television and having to be an add on purchase with cable companies) I'm wondering how many will be jumping ship.

Both injured and out until at least the Royal Rumble. This means the WWE is forced to push other guys on the roster now who fans have been clamoring for.

Cody Rhodes gave the best performance at the WHC Money In The Bank match. He's been getting a babyface push since then. He was just "fired", but cut what might be his best promo yet. He should be back after he takes his time off for his wedding and honeymoon. He should be in the WHC title picture at some point in the future.

He's just part time and only wrestles about 3 matches a year.

Kofi has solid in ring ability but lacks the charisma and personality to be a main eventer. I think upper mid card is not a bad place for him though. He's already had a total of 10 title reigns (3x Tag Team Champion, 3x United States Champion, 4x Intercontinental Champion). I don't see him as a guy who can be a World Heavyweight Champion or WWE Champion. There isn't much else for him to do.

Zeb Colter made reference to it in a promo, but not completely blatant. Something about how the Real Americans should be the ones applauded for being courageous and that they are pure. He spent more time poking at African American stereotypes though. The pop has been HUGE for the Prime Time Players since Darren Young came out though.

When he's not busy being a dick. I can't think of a wrestler who is a bigger mark for himself than Davey Richards. I mean it's funny, but he needs to grow up.
