Carol has turned from this weak character in Season 1 and 2 to being in front of line of the group's military. I personally still don't think she's the right person for the character.

Scott Gimple looks like someone that I actually beat up in grade school but other than that, damn good episode.

Great first premiere, there were some interesting things discussed in the Talking dead.

If you guys didn't pick up on it, the first guy being cut up on the table to be eventually eaten was Gareth's brother who had been shot in the season 4 finale when Rick used him as a human shield. The purpose of this was to show how ruthless Terminus is, and no matter who the person is, they have to eat for survival.

Another little thing was when Carol was looking at the watches. Me and my cousins were confused trying to think of who had a notable watch. the misconception that many believed was that it was Daryl's since she later found his crossbow a few seconds later. The watch was actually Rick's, and it was the same watch Rick gave to that kid Sam (the one with the weak elbow, shaved head) who was hanging out with that hippie girl with the bad leg. This was the episode when Carol and Rick were scavenging for medicine and food and found the 2 of them. The girl was shown later in the episode to be eaten by walkers, but the kid Sam never met them again.

Wow why did I not even book that? I knew it was the guy from Gotham but I didn't even realize THAT was Sam. Lots of little details in the walking dead.

There was a part after the explosion from Carol they showed some people by the gate killed by walkers. There was one girl who was somewhat attractive being killed off. If you look at the final flashback at the end of the episode, she was the one those dirtbags "picked" and she was screaming "please not again". I guess that shows she was one of Gareth's people, one of the originals.

also that final flashback scene was really disturbing and sad, really shows a very dark and different walking dead this season.

not to point out the obvious but that's way too many black people to be on an amc show at once. michonne is safe and ty is just starting to come into his own. my money is on the sister\bob and rosita(shame)

after the first season and the budget cuts and frank darabont leaving (the old show runner) and after how bad season 2 was this show was just another show on my DVR, not great but worth watching when theres nothing else on.... but i have to say this seasons premier is maybe the best episode to date and renewed my love for this show, now the question is can they keep it up for a whole season or was this just one amazing episode and it will go back to normal :uhoh:

i think carol dies this season, she's reached a point where her character cannot grow anymore. victim->badass, she's run out of internal obstacles to overcome

Robert Kirkman has come out and said it wasn't in regards to your first point. But i call BS it looked exactly like him down to the outfit and hair. I know it was dark but still….

That's why I thought it was him. I did read that the show runners denied it, but damn it looked exactly like him. The twisted, sadistic way he looked at him all line up too. If it's not, maybe the group is related somehow.
