KP couldn't contain him but he didn't back down from him. Kept going at the rim. Got a few on him... had a few sent back. Rudy's in year 4. KP in year 2. You need to ride out the string with your youngin's or you never get Year 4 Gobert.

One of the most dominant games I've seen with literally no offensive moves. Dude had 13 rebounds and 11 of them was on the offensive glass!

Not only does he have the physical tools but he's wily about positioning as well. Willy usually can beat guys to the boards with his guile but couldn't pull anything over on Rudy. KP just isn't strong enough and Rudy may even be longer. Couldn't do much about him tonight.

They're gonna have to go back to the drawing board on him for next year.

Dude pretty much is the same player he's always been, just more opportunity. Defensive players like him the only thing that really improves is their defensive understanding, but not really by much because they already understand the game. That's their bread and butter like offensive players like Carmelo who is just naturally gifted as a scorer.

A guy who offensive game have improved is Whiteside, he actually added moves. Gobbert just literally feasted on the boards today. I love his game, just his presence on the floor makes a huge impact even if he doesn't get a block or rebound.

This the first game where even though Willy isn't really athletic, I actually witnessed him just be outmatched. He really stood no chance against Gobbert and that's the first time I can say that about Willy going against any big.

Well to be exact we would spilt the odds of moving up between 6 and 7 seed for instance say the 6 seed is 20% top3 and 7 is 10% since where tied we spilt it so both teams get 15% chance to move into top 3 the coin flip would decide who gets the 6th pick in the event that neither team moved up

KP should look at Gobert as an example of building up strength. Gobert isn't huge either, but look how much of a presence he was tonight

I don't understand it either, but to be fair, it is literally exactly what he said he was going to do

Kuz played in the 1st quarter, I think. The game was close, so he kept the vets in, trying to win. Maybe he's going to rest them tomorrow :dontknow:

The damn Magic could have won one today. But alas, their tank is too strong.

Damn, tonight is the reason I wanted Utah to trade into the lottery two years ago and draft KP. Gimme KP and Gobert as the 4 and 5 and you can have whoever. It'll be fun to see how these two match up once KP gets his 3rd and 4th year bumps in play because he has all the tools and he seems to have a good motor. The motor is I think what separates Gobert from some of the other players that play like him. Gobert goes hard all game every game. I think that's what's going to make KP great.

Thanks man.

Some people here think Melo is still a better player and advocate to trade KP or reduce his role in the offense in favor of Melo. It's good to see opposing fans providing a fresh take.

Nice to see a fan from another team appreciate what we have when fans from our own team don't. It's en vogue around here to nitpick KP death and talk about his shortcomings as if he won't improve upon them.

Gobert was a twig when he entered the league and everyone was worried about that.

He has bulked up nicely. KP should watch and learn.

So much for Melo reducing his minutes and taking the bench. Old man Melo will opt out when?
