Wait, so KP is doing this ESPN show yet STILL hasn't returned Jeff's or Phil's attempts to contact him? WTF?

Re: Kristaps Porzingis E:60 Episode Discussion Thread (Sunday @ 9AM EST)
Being a huge KP fan, I have to admit that I'm extremely disappointed in the way he has handled his frustration within the organization to which he is employed. I truly believe that Melo's defiance towards Phil's direction for the team has played a major role in KPs attitude. KP has always looked up to Melo, not realizing that Melo is and has always been about playing for his own glory. He's simply not a team first player. His brother Janis is also most likely in his ear too much. Kind of like one of those dance moms who lives vicariously through their kid, because they didn't have the talent to fulfill their dreams.
If he has an issue with Phil/The Knicks, then he should discuss it behind closed doors with them. Don't blow off the customary exit meeting like an entitled brat. Not returning your employers calls the entire offseason is beyond disrespectful. I can't recall ever hearing of a professional athlete doing anything like that. Shows a major lack of maturity for someone who I initially thought handled himself with class.
KP needs to sit down with management, iron out their differences, and work towards a positive future. Just become a better player, do what your employer asks of you, and in a few years he'll have the opportunity to change teams if he likes.
And just for the record, I don't think the Phil is innocent in this mess. Stay off twitter and stop leaking nonsense articles through your buddy to play mind games with everyone. If you demand maturity then practice what you preach!

There are no innocents on the New York Knicks.
KP received BAD, BAD advice when taking up his concerns with management. He DARED Phil Jackson and I wonder whose idea was it? Was it his brother? Just dumb.
At the end of the day, KP has a CONTRACT with the Knicks. Phil Jackson represents his employer.

TBH i don't think he's going to say anything. What I got from the tweet and the video was that they asked him and his answer was he doesn't want to talk about it. The tweet to me doesn't imply that he is going to talk about the exit interview and the show is just going to be on his story from Latvia to the Knicks.

My new BBF! Thank you for your post. Uncle Enzo!

Exactly what I've been saying. It's the only explanation. You see them sitting together in civies while being held out towards the end of the season, whispering under their hands and smirking a lot? lol. Anyhow, the Knicks didn't mistreat KP in any manner, unless you count the signing of Derrick Rose.

yeah man Phil came in here and reversed 15 years of excellent work by this organization. What is he thinking keeping all our picks and drafting exciting young players like KP, Frank and Willy. I miss the days where we were trading unprotected 1st for Tmac and Bargs and our GM was going to court for a sexual harassment case. That's nothing compared to sending stupid tweets. Can't wait to fire him and get back to the good old days.

Correct, the notion that 21 years old, second year player is frustrated with a 31 win season is pure gold comedy to me. Only in the absurd surreal beta world that we live in this could be a reality.

Oakley says KP wrong for skipping meeting
http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/knicks/charles-oakley-thinks-porzingis-wrong-skip-exit-meeting-article-1.3273229
Knicks legend Charles Oakley was always one to speak his mind, however uncomfortable his words made people at the Garden.
Running counter to that type of forthcomingness is Kristaps Porzingis’ decision to skip his exit meeting, which Oakley told the Daily News was the wrong move. It especially annoys Oakley that Porzingis had the audacity to pull that off as a second-year player with a 63-101 record on his resume
“He’s wrong for that. You can’t do that,” Oakley told the Daily News on Friday, two days before his debut as a player/coach with Ice Cube’s Big3 League at Barclays Center. “Not being two years in the league and you’ve been on the team two years and you won 32 games and 31 games. I mean, you don’t do that. Especially when you’re in town (at the same time the meeting was supposed to take place). You don’t do that. That’s wrong.”
As you might’ve guessed, Oakley believes Porzingis should’ve confronted Jackson about his issues, rather than take the route of a silent protest. Porzingis has not spoken to anybody on the Knicks since the end of last season, conducting his offseason training overseas and outside of the direction of his team.
While many players – post and present – have sided against Jackson and his triangle, Oakley believes the Knicks should follow the Zen Master’s plan rather than acting overly sensitive and entitled. With Carmelo Anthony a part of the resistance, New York never really committed to running Jackson’s complicated offense last season – leading to yet another rebuild from the team president as he looks for personalities who will buy into his system.
“Guys are sensitive these days. Yeah, (the team) demands a lot. They should demand a lot. They’re paying you a lot of money,” said Oakley, who called Jackson, ‘The Greatest Coach of All-time.’ “My thing is the guys should want to do something different. Learn the triangle. Learn the triangle and if doesn’t work, the coach gets fired or the president and the GM gets fired. Just try. You gotta try. Don’t say, ‘I don’t want to do this, because, whatever.’ Don’t give up on something. You got to work hard. It’s about work. These guys are just used to going out on the court and standing in one place all the time. With the triangle, you have to move.”
Still, Oakley said Jackson has no right to get expect differently from Anthony after signing him to that contract – “He knew that’s who Melo was when he signed him,” he said. Oakley also made sure to clarify that he’s hardly an insider in the Knicks organization, given his ostracized status at the Garden following a decade there of winning.
“I don’t know why you’re talking to me, the last game I went to, I couldn’t even watch,” he joked about infamously getting dragged out of the arena in cuffs last season.
Another former Knick – Kenyon Martin – was more critical of the overall dysfunction at the Garden, with James Dolan as the main culprit.
“It starts up top. It’s been that way for a long time. It’s what it is. The proof is the pudding,” Martin told the News. “It starts with ownership and then management. Ownership picks the management and management picks the players. So when ownership picks a f---ked up management, the management picks f---cked up players. It’s just the way it is.”

A shame that there's a rift between Oak/Msg. He would have been a good leader for a young team as a defensive coach or in a FO position.

The documentary was made before the season was even over. The last strokes added later. And how is it even related to him being in touch with PJ or JH (and Phil has said that they have been in touch, anyway) and the whole interview/trade debacle. The fact that KP is wearing a Nike shirt probably means that the said interview could have actually been done last summer prior to adidas deal. Documentaries are done over time. Why some folks perpetuate a constant drama is beyond me.

Intelligent minds know it's because he's either getting bad advice or he is a diva. Try posting up a midget before you post up a legend...or just do your job and respect the people who pay you.

The last paragraph pretty much hits home. Phil, as the face of the organization, HAS to be the sterling example. He still uses those crude methods as if he was the coach when he is now on a much higher position of power and scrutiny. This doesnt absolve KP of acting like what he is doing now. Both are quite immature.

They didn't say anything at all new in regards to the Phil/KP/Knicks drama - it was just a quick clip. KP said nothing aside from what was in the preview. PJ wasn't even mentioned except having picked another Euro this year (Ntilikina). Move along.

In general I do think he's handling this situation terribly though.

Correct, the notion that 21 years old, second year player is frustrated with a 31 win season is pure gold comedy to me. Only in the absurd surreal beta world that we live in this could be a reality.
Ask KP how Towns, Russell, Okafor, Mario's teams did. Much worse than the Knicks!
Top picks play on bad teams. Unless you're Lebron or Carmelo, such is life in professional sports.
