Dakari Johnson & Josh Huestis played pretty well in Summer League as well. Worth a look

kanter, abrines, ferguson, and CHI 2018 2nd round pick is a solid deal.

If it's a choice between Kanter or Anderson u take Kanter everytime. He's young and his contract ends 1 year earlier.

Hey guys,

talking froma Thunder perspective, I think a starting point would be Kanter + 2018 Chicago 2nd. Adding Ferguson doesn't seem like a Presti move since they apparently view him as a guy who needs to develop first, but has high upside (I don't know if that's actually true, but it seems like it). On the other hand, he needs to go all in now and not five years from now, so who cares. Interestingly enough, Ferguson is the only unsigned 1st round pick. Rumur has it Presti is trying to lowball him to take 80 % off the rookie scale; the official version is FIBA clearance.
Abrines is on a very cheap contract and is gonna be good, so I would like to keep him as well, but I reckon Presti would offer him.

I think Grand and DMD would be obvious 'filler choices'. I don't know what Presti is gonna offer additionally. We're pretty capped out on picks and they would be heavily protected if added.

Cheers.

we aren't a player for 2018 FA's so 2 year deals are fine. 3 year deals were an issue because that was when we seriously could go after a FA.

We are going to stink next year anyways. And yo never know Kanter might opt out.

That would be madness on Presti's part. Those rookie contracts are already such steals. If he turns out any good that's already gonna be sowing bad juju with him.

add kanter to the 40 centers we have already, none of who can actually anchor a defense by the way. sounds great.

Give us Ferguson and the CHI 2nd and we'll also take on singler.

Afaik there's precedent for him doing that. Roberson got signed to a 'special contract'. I can't remember the 2nd guy tho.
