We are being a little unfair -- he is a point per shot, so all he needs to do is take 40 shots a night and he'll be the best scorer in the history of the NBA.

My honest 2 cents:

He is an okay playmaker but everything else is like a mild house blend D Rose. Not as athletic, no sign that he will become deadly with a midrange J, okay 3 ball that might get better, and yeah his game translates a little out of the gates but nothing special. He's a midget with a bum knee and won't do anything exceptionally well.

Bron almost certainly wrong -- you're going nowhere with this guy as your starter. Even if Frank ends up falling short. Hard pass.

I watched the entire game. San Antonio gave him around 8 free points at the end there while the game was out of reach.

He’s horrific to watch on defense. Horrific. On the ball, I guess, he’s somewhat serviceable, but off ball not in a stance and hiding away on a spot up shooter just makes me cringe. He exerts all energy on offense. He looked off Dirk a few times and took his own shot. 6 turnovers and 2 assists. This guy does not make others around him better.

He’s got hops. That’s for sure.

All people will see is 27 points and 6 rebounds, but watching the game it’s just clear as day the type of player he’s going to be going forward. It’s not winning basketball and it will never be unless they draft and sign other superstars.

He's got hops but I have to question his explosiveness off the dribble. He's gotten blocked at the rim more than a couple times. His playmaking and shot are not terrible -- he was having a 17 point game on 17 shots and then padded when the game was lost.

People get impressed with midgets who can fly but why? A 6-6 guy doesn't have to jump like that to avoid being blocked or missing. This isn't the circus.

Again, Dennis Smith Jr is an amazing athlete and pure scoring guard. Point guard? Don't see it.

He's a scoring PG. I think you can build a nice team around him, but you have to build a specific way.

Frank I think allows more flexibility in team building approach and I'm more of a fan of what I think the end result will be.

And DSJr could be more PG oriented and somewhat different in a few years. All of this is way too early, but initial impressions are I like the defense and team first approach of Frank more and DSJr is talented as well.

So the AI76ers team build but good luck finding anyOne as defensively dominant as Ben Wallace...

DSJ is a rookie playing starter minutes on a rebuilding team. They were able to draft DSJ for a reason.
