Oh snap.

Burke was a lottery pick who was rated the highest at PG in his draft class. Comparing him to these others isn't fair or accurate. Sure he's struggled but the talent is definitely there and he's still young for a point guard.
personally I’d prefer the talent who was looked over and blew up the in the d-League (ala Jeremy Lin, whiteside) than the highly touted young guys who received plenty of NBA burn but never did anythingMP4LIFE wrote:reub wrote:thebuzzardman wrote:

Ok call me when Anthony Bennett, Yi Jianlian, Acie Law, Al Thornton, OJ Mayo, Jason Thompson, Joe Alexander, Adam Morrison, Anthony Randolph, Johnny Flynn, Earl Clark, Hasheem Thabeet, Terrence Williams, Jimmer Fredette, Julian Wright and Xavier Henry prove their worth in the league. Former lottery pick means nothing to me. He hasn't proven anything in the league.

If his shooting stays steady he will be a significant asset for the team. The Perry/Mills brain trust needs to either trade Sessions for a late 2nd(if possible) or just cut him. Call up Burke and start him over Jack and just let him focus on mentoring Ntilikina. Really Trey and Frank can play together.
Burke has done nothing in the NBA to be mentoring anyone even the rookie. I think we're gonna have to wait for either an injury to J.Jack or a trade until we see Burke get his chance with the Knicks. I don't take anything any player does in the G-League against players who will never be in the NBA as what that player will do in the NBA against real NBA talent. Big difference.

He's better than Jack is right now and is almost 10 years younger.

He's better than Jack when playing in G-League against players that will never see a NBA floor but there's a reason why NOBODY wanted him and he sat out there so long in free agency. This is a point guard league yet nobody wanted to sign a young PG that was a lottery pick just a few years ago.
