I get that he's upset but he should consider playing better in the limited minutes that he's plays. The guy was benched because of his defense and when he has played this yr his defense has gotten worse and even his offense has been pretty bad.

Guy was benched because a center who's earning 18mil a year was acquired the night before training camp as the main piece of the franchise altering Carmelo trade. That's why he was benched. Otherwise he'd be playing and I'd argue that he'd be getting meaningful minutes on 80% of the teams right now.
With more reps, Willy could improve defensively. There's no question. When he getting consistent minutes with KP they looking like a formidable duo. We need to see that again to assess if there's something with Willy we should hold on to.
Kanter was a spark in the beginning of the year, but that act has quickly turned about face. Merry and Pills need to realize that no one is going to judge the carmelo trade on whether Kanter is a revelation. Something needs to happen right now.

Really big test for Perry coming up February 8th.
Is he like the other GMs we've had in the past who can't see the writing on the wall and can't fully trust the rebuild.
Our does he understand is that for the only way for this team to improve is to shed the vets and gain more assets.
There is no reason Lee/O'Quinn/Kanter/Lance should be on this team if there's a deal out there that could either provide assets or improve cap flexibility.

Well of the moves he's made, he did net us a decent 2nd rounder for a player who was done playing here, and we brought Burke into the fold who is still young. He's hasn't been here long enough to really determine which direction he will go, but nothing suggests he will add salary and get older.

Also, sure, if we can move those guys for assets, do it, but are you really confident any of the above mentioned guys will get you anything decent? Kanter can opt out this summer, so can KOQ, so why would a team give up anything of value for them? Do either of those guys push a contending team over the top? Doubtful. Lance isn't getting you anything. Lee is the only one who could perhaps command something decent, but at 32 with two years left on his deal at 25m, it's doubtful we can get much of anything for him. We don't need to really do anything given our three best assets are 19, 22, and 25 years old. Noah can be stretched after next season. Lance only has next year left on the books for guaranteed money. We have 3 picks this draft and all our picks going forward and can open up a ton of cap space for 2019. I never understood the sense of urgency to make deals and do this and do that. We can actually not do much of anything other than draft well and have our young players improve and then spend wisely in 2019.

Wow. He thinks he can change things here? Maybe seren is on to something. Billy traded in the next 2 weeks? I still think no. Kyle is odd man out. The contracts logically dictate this scenario. Unless the FO is on drugs which s highly probable. OR they move Kanter. Highly unlikely because, the team thinks running 2 7 footers is productive in today's game. Just like not shooting or defending 3s is a good game plan. Just have everyone collapse on the ball every play. Who needs perimeter defense?

I argued a month ago that Billy never said he wanted to be traded. He didn't then but, now he has. He was talking around the scenario though. Now he's just fed up with Jeff and has the balls to actually say it with the deadline approaching. Not sure it's a good look for him or Jeff.

Depends on the price... Kanter is very useful in a 20-25 minute a game role surrounded by decent defenders for most of that time. Problem is he wants to get paid like a 30-35 minute guy. If we were to extend Kanter for 10-15 million for 4-5 years I'd be totally on board but it doesn't seem like that is a reasonable expectation.
