But I will easily put Mitchell at 1. He's a star.
He moves up into the top 3.
Tatum is still younger, bigger and has more potential.

Josh Jackson is trash, Fultz is **** mentally ill. I'm banking on Minn thinking Jeff Teague is an actual viable PG, and ORL realizing Payton was getting shipped.

1. Sixers - Donovan Mitchell.
This was a hard one to peg really. Debating between 3 guys here (Tatum, Ball, and Mitchell). Went with Mitchell because of the way the Sixers roster is shaped they could use another playmaker out there with Simmons out there and Donovan is a good enough 3 point shooter where he can concede some duties to Simmons and still be ok spacing wise. As surprisingly adequate as Ben has been defending points this year, I still think long-term having him chasing the John Walls of the world in the p&r could have some negative effects on his body.. Also Philly already drafted their star so they didn't need to swing for the fences here. Mitchell will be at very worst a solid player for 10-15 years. Safe but sure #1 pick unlike what transpired in real life
2 - Lakers - Lonzo Ball
Same result as the actual Draft. Lakers are starved for overall talent and you could make the case that they would prefer Tatum over Ball because of BBB and all the hoopla but the Lakers had a serious hole at PG that needed to be filled pre IT trade and Lonzo was really starting to turn it up before the knee sprain and has been elite defensively all year. Still the most intriguing prospect in the draft IMO and the Lakers could do way worse with the 2nd pick.
3 - Celtics - Jayson Tatum
Look what they've done since he's got there. 'Nuff said
4 - Suns - De'Aaron Fox
This is purely a fit pick. I do not think, as of now, Fox is the 4th best player in this draft, however, knowing what we know now about how the Suns felt about Bledsoe this becomes a no brainer. Fox can't shoot but should be above average defensively and provides another playmaking option next to Booker. A future backcourt of Fox and Booker would be very intriguing to Suns fans I would imagine.
5 - Kings - Josh Jackson
Was deciding between JJ, Kuz, and DSJ here as BPA. The Kings with an eye on the future take JJ knowing he has the higher ceiling and they have time to wait and develop him. Starved for elite talent, in general, the Kings swing for the fences here hoping JJ can turn into a Shawn Marion type all around wing.
6 - Magic - DSJ
Should have been their pick. Not that I hate Isaac, but he just doesn't make sense with their current roster construction with AG being a more souped up version of what he is. DSJ will put butts in the seats and has a lot of talent to mold into a full time pg. They weren't high on Payton. This provides them a real back up plan for when he left and possibly a future star.
7 - Bulls - Kyle Kuzma
Kuzma finds his landing spot here. Bulls were in a position to take BPA and tank another year. With how Kuzma is playing this year it's hard to deny him as BPA at this spot even though I'm not as sold as others on him. Bulls need talent everywhere. Kuzma and Lavine are an interesting big wing tandem but brutal defensively.
8 - Knicks - Markelle Fultz
Knicks are in a brutal spot here. All of the elite and safe talent seemingly gone. Deciding between a guy who forgot how to shoot, complete projects (Frank, Ferguson, Jarrett Allen, Monk, John Collins, Jordan Bell), and low ceiling guys (Kennard, Adebayo, Zach Collins) is not exactly where you wanna be at the start of a rebuild. Luckily the Knicks have KP in the holster as insurance if they bomb this pick. In the end, I decided that the Knicks who need more elite talent can take the risk on Fultz and commit to another tank in the 2017-18 season.
9 - Mavericks - Frank Ntilikina
In the same position as the Knicks, the Mavs desperately need talent and are unfortunately about 3 picks too late away from the elite talent. Having a competent PG is very important in the modern NBA and so the Mavs hope that Carlisle can turn Frank into a 2 way demon for many years to come. Thye'll be looking forward to getting an elite big in the next draft as their tank become extremely strong.
10 - Portland - Bam Adebayo
Bam could provide a little bit of what they seemingly valued with DAJ at the deadline. His ability to switch onto smaller players is extremely valuable in today's NBA and Portland has the guns offensively to make up for his limited offensive game for the next 5 years. Can't think of a better fit here tbh.
11- Charlotte - Terrence Ferguson
Clifford gets a raw mold of length, athleticism and toughness to mold into a productive 2 way wing. Not an elite talent, but could provide a nice cost controlled boost to Charlotte's wing.
12 - Pistons - Malik Monk
Pre Griffin trade this team was a hodge podge of mediocre to above average talent. With their big situation seemingly figured out pre and post trade they swing for the fences on a dynamic guard who can light it up at a moment's notice and a floor spacer in the future for Blake and Andre.
13 - Jazz - Luke Kennard
Type of player Snyder can mold to be a productive 6th man and spot starter. With the Jazz's principle of constant motion on offense and their ability to cover defensively Kennard should fit like a glove here. Unfortunately in this virtual world they miss out on the explosive talent of Mitchell but I can see Snyder getting the best out of an intriguing end of lottery prospect in Kennard.
14 - Miami Heat - Jordan Bell
Would fit perfectly with Spo's blitzing defensive scheme as Bell can function as a menacing undersized 5 who doesn't mind chasing perimeter guys. Will never be offensively but you could do worse with the last lottery pick here.
