Teams that don’t pressure Curry on both sides of the ball always get killed by the Warriors. The Cavs with Lebron and even to a certain extent the Rockets have proven that forcing Curry to defend top scorers, while also playing physical with him on defense off ball, leads him to struggle. It was only a week ago people were calling his brother better than him.

you really shouldn’t be taking game thread banter literally

Yeah. My comment was random snark about the KD narrative that he'll leave when he sees GSW don't "need" him. Of course they were great before he got there and better after he got there.

Curry is just too damn great.

Dame is too inconsistent.

Wanted the Blazers to compete, but it is what it is.

I wouldn't worry about Dame or CJ. They'll make shots eventually.

Problem for Portland is they need to play Enes who can't play against GS. They have wings who can defend in this series but they can't shoot well enough to keep up with Golden state if Dame or CJ have off nights.

I would actually recommend they stick with Collins and then use the spare minutes at C with a combination of Harkless/turner/Aminu. Without Boogie Golden state doesn't really have anybody that's going to take advantage inside. So I think you can "survive" 10 minutes at C with one of those guys every night and it makes them way more switchable on D.

If Lillard was in the groove last night they would have been able to fight for a win, so I really find the Kanter stuff to be over the top. The guy is somehow expected to be guarding the perimeter now which is unreasonable. Would the Blazers have even made it this far without Kanter?

And GS slices up defenses with their passing more than anything, right? They really know how to find the open man with ball motion and that in the end exposes a whole team's defensive capabilities, not just one player's deficiencies. Portland may not be up to the task as a defensive team anyway. Kanter by himself is not the reason they'll lose the series.

Still talking Kanter... As if Nurkic could guard the Warriors. Which Center could? Don't say Mitch now.

The sad answer is probably only Draymond.

Giannis is predictable. Top of the key, drive to the basket, spin move.

He's not the one, until he develops a jumpshot.

If not the Raptors, you can bet Golden State's defense will expose his weaknesses. Playoff basketball.

Giannis is being timed when be drives, and he’s missing.

I’ve got the Raptors winning the series.

He needs a running start in order to get to the rim.
