Great debate and conversation about what's going on with government funding where we're heading. Sam also makes a great argument on behalf of "incrementalism" and voting for Biden. But it's just a great discussion, imo. The whole show is great but this discussion starts in "The Fun Half" which starts at around 1:28:00. It really picks up at 1:54:30 when Brad calls in and evolves in a discussion about our economy which is sustained by us buying things we don't need. So when something like this happens, the first thing that people will cut out of their lives are the things that aren't necessary to their needs.

Remi & I endorse this show.

Also, Rave Dubin should debate Sam Seder

It’s time to open up soon sensibly. Keep the old and vulnerable safe but those of us who are healthy and have astronomical odds to survive this thing the fact that we’re losing out jobs/business over this because some of these governors are drunk with power and like the limelight they get everyday now is disgusting

Sam Sedar would eat Dave Rubin alive. Rubin is an intellectual poser. You guys should check out David Pakman too since I haven’t seen his name dropped in this thread.

Dat makes sense to me. Let's be smart here. We are seeing suicides up, spousal beatins up, child abuse and molestations up!!!, opiate use up, alcoholism up, PROTESTS up, etc. We are reaching a point where we are going to be destroying ourselves if we continue to lock down healthy people y'all!

Let's keep those in higher risk groups safe and let the rest of us slowly get this economy back up.

Something to think about, what if CV19 comes back in September - Do we do this all over again? Then we get a vaccine, then it mutates, then do we do this all over again cause we B waiting for a new vaxx? We are in dangerous waters with our healthy getting sick from being locked up. My mind don't like dis as is!

Stay Healthy all!

I'd be up for this plan if the USA had a good testing and contract tracing plan and execution, but here it is 10+ weeks into the lockdown and federal leadership and state leadership either don't have one, or are JUST STARTING THIS IDEA.

#1 economy in the world, American exceptionalism etc etc and this is what we've got.

Impressive.

So much winning.
New administration really cleaned out that swamp and got America humming like a well oiled machine.
Glad to see our private sector business overlords rose up and took care of everything like the Ayn Randian heroes they are.

Louder for the people in the back, please. This (and accurate recording/reporting of statistical information) is really all that matters. Unfortunately for the general population of the country, we have neither because...well, because the conservatives at the wheel don't like the work/cost/optics it would require.

This is a biological pathogen, not a societal problem that can be tackled differently by different personalities and/or methods (well, I guess sociopaths could have a different approach :dontknow: ). Any country that dealt/is dealing with the virus and showing credible positive trends is in that position because of a reliance on test, trace, isolate. It's very simple. We're nowhere near getting past this or truly "reopening" until then.

Yeah, I mean, it's really common sense once it's explained.

Put it another way. How many armies win battles by this strategy: "Let's deploy all our forces spread out all over the place against the enemy instead of utilizing intelligence and maneuver to concentrate our forces where most needed"

I mean, come on.

Frankly, it's embarrassing that the country that spends a zillion dollars on the military, who should be good at this stuff and therefore these concepts should permeate our society, and also that the country could logistically fight a global war in WW2, with long logistical trails and fronts all over the place and all sort of oceans, can't even mass testing and tracing within our own borders.

It's f*cking sad.

This pastor must’ve either flunked “Faith Healing” class back at Pastor school or he just didn’t have enough faith in himself.

HAHAHA!! I love the opinion that governor's are keeping their states closed because they're "drunk with power" and not because perhaps just maybe they're trying to help save lives. Keeping states closed for an "ego" boost ruins the economy for governors too. Exactly how did you come up with this make-believe theory -- and how can I get a puff of what you're smoking???

Anyway, I just read this article about how President Harding reopened the country too soon following the pandemic of 1918 and how it turned out to be a grave mistake. Looks like history is repeating itself and we've learned absolutely nothing! :noway:

Warren Harding Tried to Return America to ‘Normalcy’ After WWI and the 1918 Pandemic. It Failed.

The lessons from his presidency show that a quick retreat to the past can be just a mirage

@Eric Anderson. No. You're wrong. Why do you leave out all of the expert epidemiologists and public health experts who are setting forth the scientific guidelines to the respective Governors - who choose to listen to SCIENCE - as guidance for establishing protocols for reopening the country. Is that so difficult to comprehend? Phew. :noway: No wonder this country is going into the crapper.

I’m seeing headlines about NASA finding evidence of a parallel universe in reverse (yeah, like Benjamin Button chit). I don’t know where the old science thread is and didn’t want to start a new thread.

Any realty to this claim?
