I respect the strategists behind them, and think the Dems should definitely be taking a look at bringing them into the fold. Sure, they are mercs who won campaigns for some real awful elected officials, but I prefer that to Dem strategists who lost campaigns for good people. Dems need more of a killer instinct.

I mean, killer instinct is the most accurate word here. Keep the dudes at arms' length imo. It's not like they just got Bush elected and everything else just happened. They were there in that administration while lies got us into Iraq, a surveillance apparatus formed and waterboarding was happening at black sites. Just feels Faustian to me, bound to backfire when these fools have enough cash to try and influence things down the line.
Oh, I agree. Which is why I am saying Dems should bring them in now when they are free agents, before they head back behind enemy lines.
