Trump is bad at being a politician. The very basics of optics elude him.

Trump is still playing a President on TV, except nobody can figure out what TV show he thinks he's on

Hahahahaah I wish it was a joke. But look who is running this year man, a grifter reality TV star and a corpse. You'd snap pull the **** lever for The Rock and Mark Cuban this year, admit it.

Gotta say I agree with you. I mean, the rock is an actor and wrestler and cuban is a reality tv host on shark tank with the reputation of a business man and trump is an actor reality tv host and business man and also in the wwe hall of fame. eric bischoff predicted this would happen in his ted talk. we are already in president mountain dew camacho territory that rubicon has been crossed

personally I blame the reality tv show boom of the 2000s especially american idol

If Rasmussen, of all polls, have Trump down 12 then he might be down 20.

Probably a fair indicator that the standard 90% of Republican support for Trump started declining this past week.

His "base" is not 40%. The cult may be as high as 25-30% of voters, but there was always going to be a significant portion of 2016 Trump voters who simply voted for the Republican ticket and may have intended to do so again until recently.

His self-inflicted implosion this past month finally shook some of those people out of their slumber. That means a few million more people that will either vote for Joe or stay home instead of voting for Trump.

yeah that's weird for them, they usually lean pretty hard republican. 3 polls ago they had trump up 1, 2 polls ago they had biden up 1, the last one had biden up 8 and now biden 12. not that national polls even matter. keep an eye on those states

McSally flamed out very much like Trump did in her debate with Mark Kelly. AZ Senate seat is going blue

Correct. This is ultimately meaningless, but this was Trump's go-to poll to cite.

State polls are starting to come in line with the national average though, which is much more significant.

I'd blame Facebook for it more than TV shows. It allowed for the weaponization of news feeds that created echo chamber communities that leap frogged from one inane theory to the next until Trump walked into the void in the heads of those who had already surrendered to batchit alternative reality

Cuban is more of a self made business man than Trump could ever hope to claim. I think he'd resonate with SMB owners despite being a billionaire. He's a secular libertarian (?), so it's probably the case that he couldn't get either parties nomination. As a democrat he puts the stake through the heart of the socialists, as a Republican he doesn't push any bible banger issues. Assuming the republicans lose this election I can see him maybe being their candidate in 2016. They need to get younger, more secular and reinvent themselves as the SMB party.

That being said I'd have never thought Trump would have gotten the RNC ballot in 2016, so anything can happen.

Guys I’m starting to think that maybe Trump isn’t some political genius after all.

RealGM (the Knicks board really , can't speak for this site overall) really should clamp down on nutty posts citing propaganda sites. It is not paranoia to repeatedly state Russian memes are being pushed in the U.S. via alt right news sites and social media feeds. We should not be a part of that food chain

This is all for show. Their prosecutor already got caught, in email pushing this for political gain. Grand juries see no defense material. These are activist prosecutors looking to get better jobs.

In terms of China, it would be even harder to figure out their disinfo strategies, because they are not as blatant as the Russians are. Putin was probably blown away by the results he got in 2016 and then felt he could get away with anything during this administration for good reason since Trump is his butt boy. So when the new guys are in charge in 2021, the Russian methods will be dampened if not eliminated.

The Chinese are probably less overt, but the Russians have a superior grasp of our psychologies. I'd look to the Israelis to find another source of disinfo. They have the ability to do exactly what the Russians have done and their own reasons to do it.

Did you see Jamie Harrison absolutely own Lindsey Graham? I don’t know why the Senate committee doesn’t just find candidates in mold of Harrison and Stacy Abrams (yes I know she ran for Governor, but she’d easily get a Senate seat in Georgia). These guys are sharp, personable and know how to talk about the issues. These are the type of personalities that could win in any state.

we post unfounded twitter rumors and opinions as news so I don't think they should do that, no. just put the info out there and we can decide for ourselves if we want to believe it or trust the source or not

It was a combination of Harrison bringing a strong, but folksy approach to attack Graham and Graham being so numbed out and void of confidence that it was a rout. Graham's soul left his body a while ago. He looks barely human any longer.
