really wanted Kira or Hali and we got Obi :banghead:

i was a big fan of kira and haliburton too. although i liked obi as well. missed horribly on obi.. but hit nicely on kira and hali

kira esepcially was becoming one of my favorites. i thought he had one of the highest upsides in thie draft. just a great shot creator and shown flashes of being a nice passer

yea I defended Haliburton a lot on this board just because he got the Frank comparison. i didn’t see it then and still don’t see it. i even said he might have sneaky upside like SGA and that type of praise was not received well here

I really just wanted to end up with one of Haliburton, Killian Hayes, Kira Lewis and Obi (unfortunately). speaking in terms of players in our range. think I did ok lol

oh did you think I was anti Haliburton? I always was intrigued by Haliburton. his vision is just really good and he is now hitting shots off the dribble. late in the draft process there was footage from him out in Vegas showing off his improved handle and I was like wow. i was posting that footage here too

Now I remember you were pro-Hali when that footage was released.

Have you ever thought of becoming a scout by the way? From music to draft prospects, you seem to enjoy looking for talent.

I did when I was younger but I realized it’s probably not realistic cause I don’t have much experience. i would need to have connections with teams or people in the music industry to even get a shot, which I don’t have lol

Some clown this young dude but he does have potential...and is getting valuable playing time to make mistakes and get better. OKC has absolutely NO pressure and are are developing their players; whether they produce or not, they're getting the most out of their evaluation. NYK is in a different place in their organizational goals. We all thought Obi was NBA-ready but what he REALLY needs is a team environment like OKC this season to get his confidence up because he wouldn't have to look over his shoulder or be benched after 1-2 defensive lapses within 8 minutes.

Just 1 game. If he drops 20pts in his next game this will all be forgotten.

He's averaging 15pts & 5 assists. He shouldn't get a dime over what the Lakers are offering. :D
