You? Most of the EC bashing I've seen sounds like this. "Melo is the only competitor in the East. Everyone else sucks."

That’s true but I do think It’s gotten to a point where no other teams get shown respect. The east gave me more problems in the playoffs than a team like smash out west did in the finals. That’s the reality and I hope no one takes that personal. So that’s why I say the east is underrated somewhat.

Smash built a helluva team last year though, and on top of that Whiteside was a sim god. I don't think any of us in the league saw a sweep coming, but that just goes to show how dominant your team is. I don't fault you for talking smack. You won a championship. You gotta enjoy that for as long as you can. Historically speaking, I think the West has always been more competitive that the east.

Guess you're going by wins when saying he was your easiest opponent? You may have swept him, but I don't think ATL (even though they stole one) was a more difficult opponent than POR. Will be interesting to see which conference gets the championship tie breaker this season.

I just don't know how you inherit Luka and Zion on cheap deals and act like you haven't been dealt one of the best hands you could have gotten and people shouldn't point that out

Like, I got the Lakers and my best player was Devin Booker (who I traded away for literally nothing, my first but not last terrible trade), and my 2nd best player was like, Goran Dragic, third best was I think Nic Batum

No disrespect meant to any of the above, but you can't tell me you'd rather have that than Luka/Zion/D Mitch, especially when Booker alone was making more than all 3 of them, and only signed for 3 years instead of the 5+ of Luka/Zion

Like, I'm not gonna complain if Buzzard wins, but a lot of the groundwork was laid before he got here.

I know I took over a good team. You have never read anything here posted by me saying different. But this SIM thing is really different from the fantasy style sports I have been playing for like 20 years.

Instead of the black and white stats determining how good your team is, we are at the hands of some SIM loader who determines if Zion really plays like he does in the NBA. John Collins is in the same 5 star tier as Kevin Durant. Collins is a top 30 to 40 player on his best day in fantasy sports. Its crazy stuff like that which makes this a weird ass game to play.

So yes, I have a rock solid team. But this deal about being at the whim of some basketball fan who may or may not like Zion is not a easy game to play. I much prefer playing the game by the numbers ( NBA stats ) and filling in the blanks.

Once I get a season in, I am hoping the whims start being known for me. Right now, I am just guessing the SIM Loader thinks a lot of Bey, Moody, Bitadze; or even Zion to move him up into elite company.

Its all good in the neighborhood. But I was not handed a championship in my opinion. A damn good/elite core though for sure.

talking about a team like the sixers that took me to 7 games. i felt a lot more pressure in that series than the finals

anyways im not saying the west is some terrible conference, in fact they're pretty loaded. just wanted to say the east deserves more credit than given for.

Quite frankly, he has a lot more pressure to succeed, because Luka/Zion should be enough to win with a half decent supporting cast. So if he can't put that together as a GM, that's a massive failure.

Massive. Basically a dead man guided that squad to a second round exit last year. So there's the standard.

I think you are wrong here because the SIM does not have Zion as a 5 star player. I think he was 3.5 last season. I think that is stupid and said it a hundred times. But I can't fix the difference between what most rating sites think of Zion and what our BAF rater thinks of him.

The ratings get things done. Not the player name/hype. I think there are several teams with two 5 star rated players. My Pacers are not one of them.
