More likely, they'll go 3-6.

The schedule isn't easy, Randle is WAY more important than people think, OG is now hurting and looks like he'll be losing games, and even iHart isn't 100%.

Wait until the Knicks play some team with an actual half assed commitment to defense or the Pacers, who don't defend at all, but look to score 140 each game. Think this team has enough offensive firepower right now to put up 145? No.

We are in a bad place. No Mitch. No Randle. iHart/OG less than 100%. This game should be reality crashing down on our heads. Last night we played a HS team and struggled in the first half to look any better than that.

My fear is that we are gonna lean too hard on Brunson now. Hope he can survive the next 2 months playing 40+mpg. We need help and there isn't much on the market that will make a difference. This next two weeks could be brutal.

The Knicks WERE playing great ball. Just feel like people are posting on habit of the Nuggets game or the 3/4's through the 4th quarter of the Miami game, right up to where Randle got hurt.

Knicks have been down their starting center all year. Well, ok. They still have Randle and Brunson. iHart looked great filling in, maybe better than Mitch. Then iHart goes down, and while he's back, he's CLEARLY not 100%. So now they roll out iHart for 20 mpg, and you have to hope Precious and Sims are good for the other 28. Yeah, right. And then Randle is out, maybe for the rest of the season, maybe just until the all star break. Then people seem to assume Randle will be 100% when he comes back. Uh, no he won't be.

Effectively, the Knicks are down at 2 starting positions, C and PF, and OG looks like he's about to be in one his "I'm going to miss some games" spells he's had his entire career.

Back to back? Knicks probably get slaughtered tonight.

Reality is about to hit.

Oh well. The run was fun while it lasted. At least we still have Brunson to appreciate. This guy's videos are a little hyperbolic, but since it's Brunson, it's all true.

I'm going to chalk this up as PTSD for being a long time Knicks fan as well as you being realistic.

Starting in February, the climb starts to get difficult. If we can weather this storm until Randle comes back, I will have hope that we can fight for #2 and #3 seed.

Yeah. This is gonna be brutal to watch. I really don't know that there is a trade out there to help us weather the storm either. We could be entering the what if conversation and I don't care to do that. FUQ!! SO DAMN CLOSE!!

Home vs. Pacers - loss
Home vs. Lakers - win
Home vs. Grizzlies - win
Home vs. Dallas - loss
Home vs. Pacers - loss
Away vs. Rockets - win
Away vs. Magics-loss

best case scenario, 4-5 without Randle, IF he comes back after the all star break

There isn't a trade that will weather the storm. Any trade the Knicks make is one that will make them a LITTLE better now, but is really about offseason positioning.

The could do some tweaking of the edges of the roster with TPEs or players like Flynn and maybe Precious, but figure they look to move Fournier's $ for a similar $ player. I think the Blazers get greedy, so best fit in Brogdon is gone, and Knicks kind of finish out the OG trade with the Raptors by sending some cap relief and a pick and they take back Brown.

Knicks manage to play .500 ball the rest of the way and they wind up with 47 or 48 wins. Probably what happens.

Becky Hammon's penis is getting erect imaging the Knicks faltering, so she can continue her anti Brunson narrative.

I’m kinda curious how many times in recent history the Knicks have won 13 of 15 games

This feels like a loss. Second night of a back to back and short handed. Grimes needs to step up tonight.

It didn't hurt, but our Front Office doesn't work like that. They aren't swayed by one good game or one bad game, like most of us here at RealGM are LOL. They see trends and look to use trades to alter those trends in the direction they've chosen: an unselfish, team-oriented offense and the best defense in the league.

So, bringing in a discussion from older post game thread. Gerson Rosas has been here throughout all the good moves.

It feels so good not saying "Scott Perry is behind all our moves." Whew.

Knicks will win this game and you will like it.

It won't be pretty, but defense will allow them to gut out a W.

Would be nice but, this is the beginning of the slide my friend. You saw that game last night. It wasn't defense that won it. Charlotte has no business being in the league with the team they ran out there and we were just as bad for the first half. It's about to get ugly around here. I hope I am wrong but, I seriously doubt we win many games the way we played them last one.

I live in the real world. There are no unicorns and sugar plum fairies to make everyone feel good about things in the real world. There are the Knicks without Randle for at least a month and probably closer to two months. iHart limping around. OG with an elbow issue in his shooting arm. No depth on the roster.

I would love to be wrong but, no. We cannot sustain winning like we have been and even .500 ball is going to be a tall task.
