More likely, they'll go 3-6.
The schedule isn't easy, Randle is WAY more important than people think, OG is now hurting and looks like he'll be losing games, and even iHart isn't 100%.
Wait until the Knicks play some team with an actual half assed commitment to defense or the Pacers, who don't defend at all, but look to score 140 each game. Think this team has enough offensive firepower right now to put up 145? No.
We are in a bad place. No Mitch. No Randle. iHart/OG less than 100%. This game should be reality crashing down on our heads. Last night we played a HS team and struggled in the first half to look any better than that.
My fear is that we are gonna lean too hard on Brunson now. Hope he can survive the next 2 months playing 40+mpg. We need help and there isn't much on the market that will make a difference. This next two weeks could be brutal.
The Knicks WERE playing great ball. Just feel like people are posting on habit of the Nuggets game or the 3/4's through the 4th quarter of the Miami game, right up to where Randle got hurt.
Knicks have been down their starting center all year. Well, ok. They still have Randle and Brunson. iHart looked great filling in, maybe better than Mitch. Then iHart goes down, and while he's back, he's CLEARLY not 100%. So now they roll out iHart for 20 mpg, and you have to hope Precious and Sims are good for the other 28. Yeah, right. And then Randle is out, maybe for the rest of the season, maybe just until the all star break. Then people seem to assume Randle will be 100% when he comes back. Uh, no he won't be.
Effectively, the Knicks are down at 2 starting positions, C and PF, and OG looks like he's about to be in one his "I'm going to miss some games" spells he's had his entire career.
Back to back? Knicks probably get slaughtered tonight.
Reality is about to hit.
