When we signed Fournier, He's averaged 18 pts per game on .404 shooting from 3 in 30 mpg. Solid numbers. His first season with us he wasn't terrible, He shot .389 from 3, 14 pts per game and his effective FG% was .541 - among the highest of the Knicks and the highest among players who got regular minutes. He wasn't the reason the Knicks were bad in 2021/22.

It was a bad signing because the Knicks could have used that money elsewhere more effectively, but it's not like they signed a player they knew was done (Kemba might fit that description, Fournier really didn't at the time).

Then he seemed to hit a wall the following year. His shooting percentage tanked and Thibs stopped playing him. I'm curious if his shooting will return with Detroit.

At least we had a team option for year 4 and moved Fournier as an expiring contract in year 3 for something

It’s over price at 27 million I believe but it’s only one year. I still think he can be a good locker room guy. He just wants minutes. Which is understandable
