The NYL coach is just awful. She's got the bigger and more talented team and she lets them blow an 18pt lead with ~8 minutes left. It's inexcusable.

I get playing Vandersloot ~20 mins a game to rest others but you don't player her nearly the entire last 7-8 minutes. She was targeted on defense, sagged off of on offense, and she was a zero on helping to secure rebounds. Then the coach keeps trying to spam Stewart and Ionesco contested shots all fourth quarter while they're shooting sub 30% combined instead of running more plays for Jones/Fiebich who were absolutely cooking all game.

That might be the series right there.

Might as well. They also dropped a 4pt play to take the lead. NY couldn't get one stop when it mattered. Couldn't score one basket when it mattered. Couldn't hit one free throw when it mattered. After blowing almost 20 pt lead. They gave it away.

She was awful in the finals last year and she's been awful so far in game one. We can't just assume the talent will keep bailing her out. At some points she has to make the SMART & OBVIOUS adjustments.
