I know his contract is up at the end of the 26-27 season, which means if we win a chip, (or 3 - one can hope) during the remainder of his contract, can we potentially resign him, especially given the expected raise in salary cap? I believe KAT, Brunson, bridges, OG are the only 3 under contract up until that season. I mean seeing this video just got me thinking about the chemistry this team could have had, had it not been for Randle :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Divos gonna come back watch, he not gonna resign in Minny. Divo Novocane!

Without Divo knicks don't get as far as they did in the playoffs.

On depleted team he stepped up and losing him sucks. We do have players here worth rooting for still.

No, he probably doesn't want to come back. I don't think he will be able to trust Leon even though its a business. I would feel resentment

Leon gave him the contract though, he signed him last year. If the Knicks win a ring, I can see the current Nova boys asking to pay him what he wants to get him back.

And he wasn’t going to start here and very likely not repeating the year he had. His trade value was extremely high. Leon struck while the iron was hot.

He's not going to start in Minnesota either. Also DiVincenzo would have started here if we were able to trade Duce McBride instead.

But minnesota wanted DiVincenzo bad and would not have done the deal without him.

Why would we trade Deuce? His contract might be the best deal in the league and with the way the new CBA is structured, Deuce is the more valuable asset. He can also fill what Donte did with better defense although he’s not as good a shooter.

Not to mention, we’d have to do more cap maneuvering than was already done since Donte makes 7 million more than Deuce.

I don’t really see him as a fit on the roster anymore with Mikal here. We don’t have a starting job for him. One of the reasons why I wasn’t all too bummed with trading him even though he was one of my favorite players on the team

That’s the thing, Deuce’s contract is the best in the game. However, Divo being able to reproduce what he did this season might not be replicated due to the decreased playing time. I wanted to see though what he could’ve done off the bench as a sixth man. But Deuce’s contract was more valuable. Though Deuce might not be the better catch and shoot player, he could shoot off the bounce better and played better defense than Divo.

"You can't be mad at him [DIVO], man," Edwards said, speaking about the guard's play in general. "He makes all the right plays and shoots the cover off the ball. New York is definitely going to miss him." :D

Eh, the trade just happened not even 2 weeks ago, this was still fresh in Divo and even Randle's minds.

I can see Divo eventually coming back down the line, but he's just pissed and hurt right now.
