I don't understand why they don't hold formal scrimmages like the NFL does.
3 PS games is enough. No one cares about this crap.

They don't even have to play these games. It's a choice from what they were saying on the broadcast last night. I can't quote them but, they did broach the subject. Three to six games or something like that. It used to be like 15 games.
3 to 4 games is enough imo. I guess Thibs wants a look at Hawkporti a bit more

It's all for RealGM posters, didn't you know? If there were no preseason games, there would be no news, no reporters getting questions answered, and all of us would be saying "We lost Randle and Divo and only got a lousy pet KAT." it would be sheer, psychotic disorder this board. But when we see that actually Dadiet has 2 legs, Huk is tall enough to rebound, and Kolek doesn't run away in fear from honest to god real NBA players, we all start to feel better. It also helps that the Randle playing for Minny is the same one we all knew (and either loved or hated), not some super-Ju who passes like Magic and scores like Kobe and runs the team like Lebron.
So these games help our collective mental health. That's why 5.

This is a dead issue. The original sound bite was twisted but, let's not pretend that Donte didn't appear to step over the line talking to his friends pops the way he did. If they are cool with each other than who cares?
We have a great looking team to root for. Donte/Julius/RJ/IQ/Grimes and every other player from those teams are gone except for Hopalong Hillbilly. Now we are looking to the future with a championship level contender. I would hope the board could rally together around that and leave all the nonsense in the past. Ball busting is fine but, let's get on board and enjoy this instead of acting like battered wives all the time. It's been a generation since we have had this type of team.
Not directing that at you. This post and the overall attitude on this board needs to change. It's time we all unite and pick on Mitch and shams!

I wanna see 3 rooks get significant PT.

I really don't care about losing Donte that much as I believe in this team and the FO which has done a remarkable job. I love upgrading Randle with KAT so that's a big plus to me. The FO injected new blood with Kolek, Hukporti and Dadier without missing a beat. I'm not worried about our bench which I think has lots of potential this season. You know I'm a glass half full guy. I feel sorry for the folks who only feel animated by team misfortunes and seem unable to enjoy our successes. We're in the mix for a title this year. Let's get it!

I won't be upset but, maybe they should try and settle on the regular season rotation and let them run for the first 3 quarters and then let the bench/rooks do their thing for the rest of the game.
I hope Thibs doesn't stick to his 8-9 man set in stone rotations again for all 82 games while everyone else waits for injuries. There is depth here that we should use to keep legs fresher for the long haul. While the end of the bench gets worked in situationally to keep them in some sort of rhythm should we need them in case of emergency. It just makes more sense to me.

I hate losing Donte but, the cost of doing business has to be paid. If Randle was as great as his Stans make him sound we wouldn't need to add Donte or even trade Randle to begin with. Blame Mitch!

In reading back that Randle's Future thread I'm reminded of how even-handed I was trying to be towards Randle should he remain a Knick long-term.
But make no mistake, I'm fcking elated he is off our team. I hate his style of ball and we're going to be so much better without him. OK, I just did the purge. Let's move on now and win a chip.
