not like us got all the love, as it should, it's a bop(beating drake on his homecourt), but euphoria is the best to come out of all this - the talent and pure hate is so impressive.

Oh, look, we agree on something. Re-read the post you quoted by me. And Kendrick "wins" not necessarily by merit of anything he did, but by Drake's reactions to what he did. Suing him? Apparently Drake's handlers never heard of the Streisand effect.

Like I said I want to bow out because I know i'm going to get dog piled by people here lol

But, just to be clear Drake did not sue Kendrick. He sued the record label (that they are both on) for various reasons..

And also a little tidbit that got swept under the rug by most people is that the record label caught wind of the possible lawsuit and actually threatened to sue Kendrick themselves if Drake sued them

Again this thing is a whole stupid rabbit hole of people on the internet yelling at each other about it. People can be fans of Kendrick. I actually don't really care at this point and don't know why I even responded today.... I'm more of a fan of Drake (obviously as most can tell at this point  ). It is what it is. I didn't mean to come at you sideways bro.

No worries, and if anyone agrees with you about Kendrick not being all that, in this thread, it'd be me.

Wingo is this thread a result of Melo and I talking about Dot and Drake in the post game thread?

Ps. Dot is Kendrick Lamar, he went by K Dot when he first came out.

Metta World WAR wrote:"Meet the Grahams" is solid. "They Not Like Us" I find irritating because the beat is garbage and it is repetitive. Both are corny, but Drake is FAR worse, and also a degenerate piece of trash (Kendrick is not as far as I can tell from what I've seen.) How Drake was even able to have a career in this is far beyond normal reasoning. You could just tell right from the start what kind of guy he is. I have my own theories, but that's a whole other discussion.

Ah yes the track where Kendrick completely copied Pusha T's "TSOA" and even made up a fake daughter!

But yes, by far, the winner of this "rap battle".

Man the internet's brains became fried from this stupid beef.

Drake doesn't know you bro, no need to be defense attorney for him online.

He lost.

Where as Tupac vs. Biggie was more West coast vs East coast, Kendrick vs. Drake has evolved to be more Black American culture vs. all culture vultures who try to exploit Black American culture for personal gain.

Hence the term “They Not Like Us” which has a deeper meaning that reverberates more with Black Americans (as did the Super Bowl performance), because others outside of The Culture may have the deeper than surface level elements going over their heads.

Did Drake take offense because he is mixed race?

No. Didn’t know about that. Just trying to stay on top of entertaining feuds going on in pop culture.

I think I posted a Diddy thread.

No, Kendrick later called Drake's son a black man in Meet the Grahams, it wasn't about him being mixed or anything like that. It's about him playing up the street persona he's been using lately, Drake gets street rappers on his songs so he can talk tough alongside them. Kendrick also said:

"I like Drake with the melodies, I don't like Drake when he act tough"
"Keep making me dance wavin my hand and it won't be no threat"

He has no problem with Drake making pop music, his problem is the mob boss version of Drake that makes songs like Knife talk or Mob ties. One of them is a rapper from Compton that grew up in a rough city, the other is a child actor from a wealthy area in Toronto. He's really annoyed that a Canadian is glorifying street life more than anything else, if you're not from that why are you rapping like that?

The pinnacle of savage dissing probably yeah it is. Not something I see myself listening to down the road or anything, not the most enjoyable thing to listen to

Well that and the fact Drake made it very public he was dropping Family Matters, got big streamers like Kai Cenat hyping it up, only for Kendrick to drop Meet the Grahams not 30 minutes later. F*ckin' diabolical work, that was

But yeah, I'll put Euphoria on to listen to, Meet the Grahams not so much.

I mean, I don't know how anyone could say Drake won after Meet the Grahams

Kendrick dropped a response not 30 minutes after Drake. Not only that, he responded to claims Drake made in Family Matters, so you know he had someone telling him what Drake was gonna say

Diabolical work, that.

Rap songs over a dark piano loop have been a staple for a minute, I listened to Meet the Grahams a bunch. But, I also heard these when I was younger
