Dude. Chill. Its a new system these things sometimes take time. Brown is kinda experimenting with lineups and figuring things out. Way small sample size but even 2-1 projected over 82 games is 55-27.

Start worrying if by game 25 we somehow look bad and there isnt incremental improvement.

It hasn’t nothing to do with the system tbh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s the lack of talent on the team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every elite team has at least two all-star/all nba level shot creators!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We can’t win with only 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Which is why you see all these 3s being shot because other Brunson nobody else can consistently get in the paint and create for others!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is the only way to watch the game today on the west coast, without resorting to some crappy illegal stream, through Peacock?

I think we only get the 8pm PT game on NBC over here. I might have to get that 7 day free trial to peacock just to watch this lol

Think it's the Tuesday night games that go on NBC, last night's Nugget game was on Peacock only. All this stuff is ridiculous though, why would you have your sport so fragmented like this

Let’s make some shots tonight. Can’t win the game if you can’t get the ball through the hoop and we haven’t been able to hit shots yet this season.

They're practically begging us to just use the bootleg stuff. It's ridiculous. Figure out a way to charge more for League Pass and give us all of the games.

Leave the pizza alone. Leave the halal carts alone! No rice!!!

I wouldn't mind seeing Jemison or Diawara get a shot soon.

Yabu’s not even looking for his shot.

Dropping down to 8th wouldn’t be a good look even this early in the season. Conference is supposed to be weaker this year so no excuse. Need a win here

There goes all the charm of posting on here. The end of an era, it was like we had a time paradox going on and you were trapped 5 minutes behind us, lagging behind like an echo of yesterday. Helping me remember the awesome play that happened just 300 seconds ago. I will miss that, sad day.

Kolek being playable right now is pretty huge. Its going to help Brunson stay fresh for the playoffs. I hope that he can continue to give us solid mins. As for the other youth- im pretty disgusted. 3pac is disappointing. We could really use a wing with size. But he has done done nothing but bring shame on France and guan0.

Why must we feel a need to determine that?

What do you mean? To know how good the team is...

Yea, gravy is right. It's a legit question and it shouldn't be shot down. I think in general, there are a few rules to keep in mind.

One is that we should give some grace in the beginning stages, in the same way we give to rookies and new teams. A new coach coming in with a new system...we are going to see some growing pains. If we're not, then Brown is not doing his job. New rotation patterns, systems, etc. The league itself is also adapting, so the Knicks need to adapt. Hell, a lot of people know I disliked the Clarkson signing A LOT but I'm going to give him time. As for how much time, I do remember Hollinger saying 25% of a season is usually a good marker. But how much do you want to trust him? Up to you.

Second is that small sample size is going to play a role in the beginning stages of this season too. There is one interesting change going on for the Knicks this season...we're jacking up more threes. Whether that's good or bad, you all can decide, but that also creates more variance. We shot 34 a game last season. This year, we're at 40, 45, and 54. So some letdowns are going to happen because three point shots leave you prone to these letdown performances. To be honest, us shooting 15-54 against Miami from three and somehow losing by 8 is actually...not too bad in my book. Any loss sucks, but it's not alarming, if you put it that way. The game plan was working. We took 15 more shots than they did and clanked 15 more threes, but if I can get 15 more shots than an opponent every single game, I'll be damn happy.

Third principle is that some of you guys were very good at reminding everyone we aren't championship winners after beating Cleveland in G1. In the same way, don't rush to try to bury this team after losing to Miami. Try to leave off former coaches and players, cause it makes people think someone is rushing to judgment because they want someone to fail in hopes of propping up their favorite ex-Knicks player or coach.

Im limited to peacock and Amazon and streameast.

So unless the nba goes to hulu, appletv, Netflix and whatever else Mrs guan0 signs up for ill still be living in the past from time to time. This season ill be living as a time travelerer. And lets be real ill fforgotten games are on amazon or peacock and pull them up on an illegal stream cause ill forget I have the streaming service. Im washed as hell. Mind is slipping If you haven't been able to notice. I do hid it well.

It’s not even necessarily a knock on Tom, he’s the ultimate competitor type of coach and hates losing - as he once said “winning is more fun than fun is fun.”

Last year on Game 3 vs Cavs, Tom played 4 guys over 40min and our rotation was 7.5 players. FF to game 6 vs HOU he played 4 guys over 40min and then McBride 25min - it was a 6.5 man rotation on November 4th.

Brown is going to play 10-11 guys for as long as he can to determine what lineups work. There is most likely going to be a point that once you’re buried and outside the rotation you’re never coming back. But we might as well be in discovery mode this early to see if we can learn something. Losing sleep over the regular season, especially this early isn’t worth it.

How do you determine what are experiments and what are flaws with the coaching/offense/defense/players/roster?

1. Hopefully Deuce can return this game
2. Need to keep Clarkson/Yabu/Shamet on tight leashes
3. Maybe we can give Diawara 5 mins to see if he can give us a jolt of defensive energy?
4. KAT and OG need to hit shots

KAT can guard Giannis for stretches (with dig ins from OG/Mikal/Deuce) since the big G isn't an outside threat.
