More people were chanting for Gerald Green than Channing Frye.

Its always boos and cheers whenever anybody is drafted. Shoot, Knicks fans would boo MJ if we drafted him - lol. They dont like you until you give them reasons to like you.

No, it's actually a case of the Knicks not properly developing young players. Frye in Portland hasn't had a chance to play significant minutes. It's pretty much how Orlando did not know how to fit Ariza in their plans. They go out and spend duckets on Pietrus, right?

Now, look at Ariza on the Lakers - plain ballin' and about to dunk all over them next series.

If Frye goes to a team that knows how to utilize his talent, he will be a decent big man in the league for years to come.

Decent big man...

And yet people here thought he was the second coming. That's what I'm getting at.

Also, Ariza is far from "ballin". He's a role player.

This is why Isiah Thomas was such a horrible GM, he knew he had a chance at trading for Eddy Curry later on in the summer, so he wasnt going to draft Andrew Bynum when in his mind Eddy Curry was going to be a Knick no matter what. The guy traded TWO first round picks for the man, that tells you how much he really wanted him. Frye was the complimentary piece to Curry before Curry was even a Knick. :nonono: :noway:

For all the praise Thomas got for his "drafting eye" it sure seems like he missed out on alot. Next season, more than likely 2 players he has drafted will be here.

And yes, that CURRY2NATE shirt maybe irrelavent. But to see who you are, wear it anyway.

I think Isiah fell into the trap of drafting a player of need, rather than best pick available. His track record with late picks has generally been much better.

Don't forget that we traded KT that draft and had ZERO big men. None whatsoever. So at the time, drafting Frye was an effort to replace the jump shooting big man we lost in KT. Too bad KT also brought rugged defense and Charmin' avoided contact in the lane

Also, I remember wanting Granger at #8 more than any player. I was surprised (and so were a lot of analysts) that he fell so far. He was considered top 10 for awhile.

the fact that we drafted someone named "channing" annoyed me to begin with, so i will "proudly" say that i wasn't too high on him from the moment he was drafted
