The OP has the Knicks finishing the last month going 5-9 and still winning 39 games? Hm

Remember the thread "most delusional fans"?

There is no way the Knicks will win 40 games at this moment they had a way better roster last season. we got a whole lot to do before we can win that many games.

With Lee and Sesh, I still think the same. They still have zero defense. Last year the lack of defense made me itch. But with D'Antoni how much D can I ask for? I'm not too sure how Hill will play on that end of the court, I hope for the best. Hopefully he has some anger in him and becomes a beast on the defensive end. The Knicks were always known for their toughness, most of this squad is a bunch of chuckers. I do like Wilson a lot hopefully he can develop into a Tyshun Prince-esk player. I am praying this 2010 plan works out.

Last year if we didnt give up we would have been a 35 win team.

That being said last years major problem was lack of big men, shotblocking, a good SG and probably most important point guard depth and late in the season point guard in general. We improved in all of those areas(except SG). We got Douglas in the draft, assuming we get sessions(and maybe jwill) those are all guys that can play. We dont loose any scoring because we probably will keep nate and harrington. Now we have a more complete team(yes we still have glaring holes) but i would say atleast 3 more wins, more like 5 wins. 35 wins that we probably should have had last year plus 5 we should add on this year, makes it 40. I dont see it as unrealistic at all.

yea, at this point, with sessions on board and assuming lee and/or nate sign, i'd have to be really optimistic. don't forget guys, we have a healthy gallo, we have darko, hill and douglas, and most importantly, we don't have NEARLY as many distractions as last year. steph and zach are gone. so is Q. so are malik and Jfat. damn, this season is sure gonna be enjoyable to watch. if candy and hughes dont jack up 60 shots a game, we might have a chance to see a lot of our young guys develop. i can't wait. sign me up for 40 wins.
