Anyone going to start rocking Melo's kick game now that he's in NY? I don't like the fact that he decided to swap color schemes from Denver powder blue, yellow, and black, to Jordan's scheme of black and red, but I still want to grab a pair of Melo's.

I love the 5.5's, always wanted a pair when I was younger.

had a question i thought id post in here for responses instead of a new thread

i applied for this job, 4 hours after applying, they called to set up phone interview (talk about being fast)

i do the interview the next day (an assistant asked me the questions, since the director of the department had called of sick)

havent heard back for a month, finally called them and talked to them, guy had no idea where my file was, told me to send it again. so i emailed my stuff again, 2 weeks has passed and no response. i dont care if they reject me, but i would like to know 1 way or another. what should i do? should i continue to wait, or send them another email? i dont want to come off as desparte, but at the same time, id like to know the outcome

This is exactly the kind of work my mom is involved in. From my experience working with her, it seems as if there are loads of candidates that they are evaluating. It's either that or a) the position has been filled or b)they legitimately keep forgetting about you (highly unlikely).

Is the job that worth it? If so, keep going at it I guess.

So I plan to upgrade my mom's phone soon for her. I'll be getting her a TOuchscreen Phone next, and we're on Sprint. Here's what I've narrowed it down too (leaning towards #1):

1) Samsung Epic™ 4G

2) HTC EVO™ 4G

Thoughts?

This is exactly the kind of work my mom is involved in. From my experience working with her, it seems as if there are loads of candidates that they are evaluating. It's either that or a) the position has been filled or b)they legitimately keep forgetting about you (highly unlikely).

Is the job that worth it? If so, keep going at it I guess.

the job has been posted for 6 months, its a great local company, but it is looking for a professonial in a depressed area....since i grew up around there, i dont mind it...when i called them the 2nd time, he said it was still open. Im even willing to do a unpaid internship with them since i know the success people have had there. just dont know how to articulate it to them. i think i will just send another email and lay it all out for them

*to me it seems like they are just waiting for a better candidate to come by, and once he/she does, send me a rejection

I went through the same thing 4 months ago. The EVO is the better device. Literally the same exact debate. Do not let the specs full you. Sammy may have the SAMOLED screen, but the difference is negligible. Its interface is alot friendlier than Samsung's touch wiz which will make it easier on her. In addition, the phone feels a lot sturdier in the hand. The samsung feels like cheap plastic imo. If she needs the keyboard then consider the Epic. If not, the EVO is the superior device.

It's rolling the dice and can go either way. Just wait, man. I've made the mistake in the past of following up TOO MUCH after job interviews and appearing to be desperate and not getting an offer.

Patience is a virtue. If they are really interested in you, they will contact you?

If its between those 2 devices, then it's no contest. Epic 4g hands down.

Humingbird processor(epic) is much better then the snapdragon found on the evo. Your mom may not do any gaming, but the graphics embedded chip on the evo is utter crap. The epic has a much better screen. I believe the epic comes preinstalled with Swype. Has a better camera.

Touchwiz's interface is fine. Also, Samsung devices support almost all video formats. Try loading a 720p mkv on it and it will play flawlessly. Pure sex with the samoled display.

I've had friends on Sprint ask me the same questions months ago and I directed them towards the epic. My answer has still not changed, although these days I'd recommend waiting for some dual core beast. The Galaxy S 2 is not too far away from being released, nor is the Nexus S 4g.

Also, FWIW, I have a friend T who had an evo and claimed superiority over my galaxy S and my friends epic. My friend T lost his evo, and the next time I saw him he had purchased an epic.
