I like Brooks, but hes no Kobe.
The reason those comparisons come is because he has the same, pump faking, scowl-making, leg-kicking, type of game..hes obviously a fan of Kobes, and probably spent alot of times emulating those moves..

But hes very Nick Young-ish, and I know alot of you dont want to hear that..but if you put Nick Young on the same team as Amare and Melo, i think he'd be a little better off...hes definetly a complimentary player more than the star guy...

Marshon gets a lot of sh*t for taking bad shots and all that, but the dude shot something like 48% over all, and somewhere in the 50s from 2. How is that bad shot selection?

If you read we was talling bout Brooks taking bad (iffy) shots when he scored 52pts...smh@ You waya you azz%

You were the one who brought up Kobe, einstein. Didn't you propose we trade Landry for a late first rounder? Your opinion holds no merit.

And he shot better every season. 38, 44, 46, 48 for the four years. 6-5". I'd take a gamble on that for SG. Fields aint no SG. Chandler was no SG. We need a SG. Unless we are going to trade for one this summer then I would draft SG. Can always pick up a walk on or d league big and see what they can do.

Let's hope Brooks is smarter than Young. Wizard fans has for years been hypothesizing that Young is mentally challenged (as in smart as a 'beef pattie'). His recent comments about momma didn't raise no dumb boy when asked wether he'd consider giving the Wizards a "home team discount" was kinda another argument for those folks hypothesis.

draft related/lockout question figured id ask it here. does the cba expire before/after the draft? if it expires after are players going to be able to sign their contracts or do you think they'll wait for the new cba?

CBA expires after the draft. If it expires before the draft there wouldn't be a draft. As far as contracts go, players should be able to sign before, but if there is a lockout, no one would get paid so the only difference is that they'd be wasting a year of rookie contract.

Which is another sign that he's not like Nick Young.

I'm pretty sure they got some sort of injunction so the draft can actually take place. There was talk that they weren't even going to have a combine until whatever temp agreement they worked out was worked out. As of right now no one is signed to anything and everyone is working out on their own.

Do you still think the Knicks are going to draft Justin Harper with the 17th pick?

I wouldn't hate that pick but it's not really a position of need. He'd be excellent value in the early 20's sort of like how we got Wilson @ #23.

A school that has half sometimes more than half of their points come from a particular player. Most schools will hide that kid in a zone or figure out another gimmick to lighten his defensive load.
