Doesn't he say "Shorty's ambitious, that's the reason why i like her.."?

I'm sure the kid would be wise enough not to curse on live TV.

That would make more sense, but it sure did sound awful close to "shorties and b*tchez."

You gotta love what this guy is saying. That kind of attitude is what this team needs. He's a fighter like Oakley. Not comparing them just they seem to have the same attitude. He's gonna be an enforcer for the Knicks.

He wore jean shorts once in a while at Kentucky.

Jean Shorts=Jorts

Ah, ok. Perceptive bunch, we are...

"Jorts" Harrelson is a good nickname. None of this D12/CP3 crap. I like meaningful nicknames like "Sleepy" Floyd and "Truck" Robinson.

"Jorts": I'm Going To Protect My Stars

Post#208 » by Smokey9782 » Mon Jun 27, 2011 6:36 pm

Josh Harrellson joining Amar'e Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony isn't going to give the Knicks a Big 3 like the team in Miami that recently choked.

But the rookie big man might give them a presence every team needs to advance, especially in the playoffs.

"I'm going to protect my stars," Harrellson said yesterday at halftime of the Liberty's win over the Los Angeles Sparks at the Prudential Center. "Amar'e, Carmelo, if someone's getting rough with them, I'm going to protect them. I'm going to make my presence felt. They'll know I'm there."

...

"I'm his protector tonight," said Harrellson, pointing at Knicks first-round pick Iman Shumpert, who celebrated his 21st birthday yesterday.

he brings a cool nickname for our Garbage time player. Its easy to get excited about new players, but for every Landry Fields we have an Anthony Randolph type that people predict double/doubles for and they dont do anything.

But i really hope Harrelson and Jordan can both exceed expectations.

@Moz that's all that it took to convince you that Jordan is not a good basketball player. All it needed was Dru to say he sucks and of course means Jordan won't be good???

Jordan is a project but might turn into a servicable backup center...I don't think anyone knows how good he will be until he gets some burn in the states.

I agree with you. We should have a "Welcome Jordan" thread though....this guy may have a better shot at a season than Jorts with his added time playing overseas. I dont like the name Jordan though, he needs a nickname

And yeah, i was throwing a softball with my reply to "He sucks" so you could come in and hit a HR.
