Just a quick question before I head to Home Depot - does this mean all the Lin fans will be moving to the Houston board now?

Thanks! RT @rodboone: Melo on Lin: "It's not up to me. It's up to the organization to say that they want to match that ridiculous contract."
Maybe cooler heads will prevail.
Melo called it a ridiculous contract? No more ridiculous than Melo's.
now melos contract is ridiculous?

Rod Boone @rodboone
I asked Melo if #Knicks would be OK at PG with J-Kidd & Felton: "I mean, what other point guards are we going to get at this point?"
Bye Lin.

I think Melo said it with a smile ... ridiculous like ridiculously good. I don't think he met anything by it but it shows that Melo is pretty dumb and can't choose his words properly.

found it.
David Weiner @BimaThug
Been told Felton deal not finalized. B/c Lin offer sheet delivered, current Felton S&T no longer works. NYK now needs to add Bibby or Baron.

So we gonna act like that isn't a ridiculous contract & we haven't been spending the last couple of days lamenting on that ridiculous contract offer by the Rockets?
I mean really?

I think Melo isn't referring to the number, but the way the number balloons from 5-to-15. (searching for additional excuses).

My personal opinion is you just don't let a young, immensely popular player like this just walk without any compensation. This kid just fell out of the sky, a gift from the basketball gods. If you match, he can't be traded until Dec. 15. Can't deal him to Houston until next summer. But these will be a market for him regardless. Just my opinion, but letting him walk for nothing is hard for me to understand.
Edit: This is how I feel as well.
Nice. Something just seems really off if we don't match the offer.

Re: Felton traded to Knicks; Not matching Lin? (part 2)
So let me get this straight:
KINCKS turn Jared Jeffries and Dan Gadzuric into Raymond Felton and Kurt Thomas, so that AUTOMATICALLY means we're not matching Lin???????????
Um...is everybody smoking from the same pipe???
200+ pages over made up rumors, opinions and hearsay, with NO PROOF of anything substantial.
Has anyone stopped to consider that with the CBA change, maybe we're collecting assets? Has anyone considered maybe we have some future deal in mind? Has anyone considered that since only ONE offer sheet for Lin was signed on a SATURDAY, while every executive was in Las Vegas, that there is plenty of time to match or not??
Or is it more fun to jump to A TON of conclusions and already start bashing Lin, Dolan, Grunwald, etc. for something that hasn't even happened yet?!?!?!?
SMH KNICKS fans are really "special" !

Whoever thought that in one day, I'd move this close to TKF's position.
I can't even support Melo anymore which I've been doing 100% till now -- guy has bricks for brains.

OK so if we're not getting Felton, Lin must 100% be matched.
