It's not like there's a huge gap there. People make it sound as if Lin shoots like Rondo, which isn't the case. He does have an outside shot.

I think at this point every fan is aware of the fact that Lin IS the better player. That said he probably still wasn't worth the cost as I don't think he'd have made a difference in the areas that REALLY REALLY hurt us. Right now our defense is the biggest problem--we are letting opposing teams walk right over us. Yesterday....if you keep Indiana at 95 points it'll have a much different vibe to it and the game goes differently. Lin would have improved our offense but IMO that isn't the biggest issue right now.

While we're still kinda on the topic of Felton and Lin, I just want to say that the how "Felton sucks at D" is a big misconception. The problem is the Knicks switch so damn much, so he's getting stuck guarding bigger guys on post-ups.

Also, on PnR's Knicks bigs(especially Stoudemire) tend to screw up a lot in coverage, which gives guards an easy lane to the paint. Not to mention the Knicks transition D sucks. So, I'd say Felton is just about average on D, while Lin is a bit better.

First quick and fast are two different things when you're talking about it in the context of the sport. Second go read his scouting report and look at his combine numbers. Guys like Rondo and Westbrook ran their 3/4 sprints faster then he did but he did the lane agility drills in better time. While he may not be "fast" from end to end in a sprint... he's extremely "quick" from side to side laterally. He's also great at changing speeds and hesitating which leads to him getting by his man whenever he wants. What you call "playing in slow motion" we used to call "letting things marinate" and there is nothing wrong with that.

I like Jrue, but In all honesty i really don't like Jrue's feel for the game. Yes he is averaging a lot of assist, but he also dominates the ball A LOT. He also is very turnover prone. The sixers have lost plenty of games because Jrue is able to do what he wants and that has been a negative for them. I believe Turner could have very well have been an All-Star instead of Jrue if he was allowed to dominate the ball and have free reign like Jrue does.

I'm seeing some tweets about the Rockets pursuing Josh Smith. If they can get him without giving up any of their Core Four (Lin/Harden/Parsons/Asik), that would be a nice lineup.

If Rockets get Josh Smith, it would be chaos between Harden and Smith fighting for ball time..

Don't think that happens without giving up the latter two.

They are going to lose Parsons at the very least. Probably Asik too.

Asik alone should be enough for Josh IMO. A young an highly productive center on a long, cheap contract for an impending FA?

Rockets don't need to trade for Smith, they can sign him outright after the season. Momentum is around Smith for Ellis and parts

They don't but...without knowing much about the Rockets cap, I know they currently have max room atm but nothing more. Why not Asik + Tom ROb + Terence Jones and whatever for Josh? That way you get Josh AND have max cap for next year.

If I'm the Hawks, a Robinson/Asik package looks better to me than the Bucks' package. They already have Teague and Harris at the guards. Ellis isn't a huge upgrade over Harris IMO. On the other hand, Horford/Asik/Robinson is nice big man depth. Obviously, they would want Parsons as well but I think Asik/Robinson/assets would get it done.

Rockets won't give up Asik. He's getting paid $8m, but he's worth $12m for his production, which is what Chandler is getting.

OH LORD. SAS said he's reconsidering his stance on Lin. Sad day for Knicks fans.

I don't think Houston would make that offer. Giving up too much value to go all in on Smith.

He basically said Lin is a marginal player and the Knicks did the right thing because he might not coexist with Melo because he can only PnR. Now, Felton, Kidd, Prigioni are all playing like garbage and Lin is clearly playing well with Harden, he's thinking it may have been a mistake to let him go.

SAS is a moron. Anything he says, negative or positive, should be taken with a Texas sized grain of salt. He's a professional flip flopper. His opinion validates nothing.

Not a lot of movement to get excited about around the league. It will be interesting to see if the NBA granted an extension to teams to finalize trades they have been working on.
