Got my Wisdom Teeth pulled 6 days ago. Is the pain supposed to subside after a while? Mine has ramped up significantly and I'm almost out of my pain meds...which really aren't doing much.

See the doctor. Everybody is different. I didn't even take meds after the first couple of doses because all I had was mild soreness left and no true pain. You could have an infection if the pain is rising and the dentist will probably need to take an x-ray. They should squeeze you in and not make you wait an extra day. Go see them now

This is more than usual pain - I had one pulled 10 days ago, and needed only 2 tylenol one time. I had an implant where they drilled deep into my jaw, and the pain lasted less than a day. Maybe your dentist out to look at it - no need to suffer so much from this.

I got mine out this year. Worst pain was between 4-6 days. I think I got a dry socket before turning the corner towards healing. It was a relatively late in life pull for wisdom teeth.

So, not necessarily a bad sign but as others have said there are a lot of different factors at play. The oral surgeon will know best.

Could be an infection or near a nerve. As others have said see your doctor for a post-followup sooner rather than later. Could just be nothing, but why take the chance?

So I had my follow-up yesterday morning. He pretty much quickly checked me out and then put this medicated gauze into the two holes from my bottom wisdom teeth. I have another follow-up first thing Monday morning. I mentioned the pain but he didn't seem to concerned about it.

As of right now, though, one side is definitely killing me while the other feels okay. Just hoping I can make it through the weekend on my one hydrocodone and ibuprofen

If it becomes too unbearable over the weekend, go to the ER. Also, try ice packs wrapped in a thin towel to help numb it.

If that's what your oral surgeon is saying it's probably like my deal.

I remember Day 5 or 6 I didn't take my Ibuprofen in time and was just writhing on my desk trying to talk to one of my coworkers after liquid lunch. No funsies. It's a "tough it up, soldier" situation but you're just about through the worst.

Hello people, let me I introduce myself today. My real name is Thomas, I'm 26 and I came from a little city of the eastern of France.
So apologize me in advance for my english (moreover in france we have the reputation to be very bad for another language  ) or sometimes for my comprehension of your posts.

I have interest for basketball and NBA since 2003 and the 2003 nba draft ( with my first nba video game with nba live 2004 ...) . For sure I'm a knicks fan for the beginning (yeah during the bad period, larry brown , isiah the genius ahah) probably because I was intrigued by NYC since I was a little boy and it's logical I became a Knicks fan. When I discover NBa in 2003 the first player that I love (and crazy in love again) was Dwyane Wade (surprise not Lebron, I'm Lebron hater and I assume it ahah but I'm not crazy I recognize his talent but I rest a hater :P ).

Others of my favourite players for differents reasons was Kobe ( I hate him my first years but his work ethic and mentality impressed to me), Brandon Roy (fuc**** knee), Tony Parker, Shaq, Kidd, John Starks and MJ (even if he hit NYC lot of time). I could add Marbury but for sure I risk my life here (yeah not a joke I really appreciate the guy )

In the "new" generation I like ( yes wade is at the end now :( ) Steph Curry (lika a bandwagonner but I like his skills and capacity to kill coldly, but not in NBA finals sadly) , Damian Lillard, Dangelo Russell and for sure Kristaps Porzingis . And since june and july Rose (maybe i'm crazy again but I want to know I could be good with us this season, time of redemption if he stays healthy, like last years) Noah Lee Jennings  I'm not a huge fan of Melo's game ( often disappointed but his productivity and leadership while he's very talented) but he stays a knicks player so I always hope he will be good this year. I keep an eye too on Towns, Beal and Hields.

To resume this year the team excite and intrigue myself (like lots of knicks fans) and I can't wait the first game.

To finish ( if courageous people read me up to here ) I want to add I'm a member of french knicks association of fans !!! This association was created very recently because on facebook "Knicks France are the biggest community (12k of fans) of NBA frenchs fans so some people decided to create this project of association for all french and french speaking NYK fans. The targets are for example to play basketball between knicks fans, watch knicks games the sunday night together in a bar in Paris (sunday midday for you) and above all a road trip in NYC with frenchs fans and go to MSG ( maybe in february for clippers and spurs) and why not if possible meet players. Currently this project doing the buzz in basketball medias because we are the first association of NBA teams. Even Knicks are intrigued by this project because association of fans are not developped or unknow in USA apparently. (but it's frequent in Europe, for soccer for example).

Otherwise like European man I like soccer, F1 (and others sports) too but I stop myself because I will tell you my life ( I always lost most of you after the first paragraph) but i'm happy to be here and try to participate with you and yes i have finished my intro :D

Oh, I've been there all week...or starting Tuesday, so day 4. Just realized that the gauze the oral surgeon put in my mouth was to treat dry sockets. I also have these lumps developing on the inside of my cheeks. Not a fun time at all.

How long did it take before you could start eating normally again? (i.e, full range of motion in the mouth and little worry as to if eating something would cause food to get trapped in your wounds?

Yup. The dry sockets hurt more than the effects of the surgery without question. Sounds like you have some doozies.

It was around this time (7 days) that I turned the corner on pain and went down to a single Ibuprofen at a time. I still had to flush everything out for at least a month after but once the pain started to subside it was less memorable and I could eat normally so I can't say how long. But I would just eat and then flush out after that.

But be thorough. I ended up with an infection later, I think because of trapped food that got fused in.

OT: Is Flash S2 Worth Watching?

Post#217 » by AmazingJason » Sat Sep 10, 2016 3:20 am

"Then an accident made me the impossible..."

So magnumt grilled me about not catching up on The Flash in another thread, and so I decided to start watching it again. I finished S1 this week. The reason why I stopped awhile ago - at S1E10- was because the episodes were getting repetitive and they weren't that great, aside from The Man In The Yellow Suit. In fact, I found S1 overall to be uneven, with less than a handful of superlative episodes. In particular, I found most of the villains of the week boring, the decision-making sometimes by Barry to be unbelievably dumb, the chemistry between Barry and Iris non-existant, the love triangle eyeroll-inducing, the protecting Iris ridiculous...well let's face it, aside from her being obscenely attractive, anything to do with Iris was bad. She's The Flash's version of Laurel Lance.

The consolation was the season finale. It was one of the greatest season finales in television history. The episode - and the entire lackluster season - built up to a moment so powerful that I felt as if I died and later snapped out of it to come back to life.

The question I have now: Is S2 worth watching? I ask because I accidentally saw a headline on AV Club stating that S2 was messy and uneven. I don't know if I want to slog through a bunch of mediocrity again, but without the payoff. The Flash really could have just ended after S1...I just don't know how that finale could ever matched ever again in the future.

Going to move onto Arrow S4 for the moment. Arrow > The Flash. Sorry guys :o

Semi spoilers sort of. Flash season 2 is pretty much a repeat of season one with a few more twists that are meant to set up the future/ spinoffs.

Iris is still underused, Cisco vacillates between fun and annoying depending on the episode, Joe still prefers Barry to his own kid, I guess Caitlin's usage goes up and Barry still hasn't learned anything since he still does stupid **** on a daily basis.

Yeah... If you didn't like season 1 you're probably not going to like season 2.

Sorry brah, Arrow's gotten really bad for me. I want to like it, I really do...but ugh. Also Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl are getting no love from me.
