How many are better than Grant or have actually been good in the NBA? Very few.

19th pick, 20th in WS

Not a good player, but was a decent pick

If he lasts 5 years in the league, he's done better than most 19th picks

Knicks needed a quality rotational PG and he sucked. Phil whiffed on Larkin too. He's not to be trusted.

I could add that Phil thought Calderon and Rose were good ideas.

That's 0-4.

He seems like a good kid with heart and smarts. His NBA talent is not jumping out at you. Mudiay had more gifts.

I've been a Fox fan all along but i kinda agree and could actually see him being a guy that slides to us. Things like his size/weight and shooting are two things that could make him slide especially with such good talent sitting there when each top 7 team is picking cause it's a strong lottery especially the top 8.

Ugh. Thanks for the reminder of the offense we're going to see all next season.

Look at GSW playing offense. There are picks and cuts everywhere not just this one deliberate cut that's easy to guard and then you're at the mercy of one on one matchup.

The triangle has some decent principles but modern NBA defense and the rules just make it so much easier to guard.

Let's hope they're doing stuff other than triangle drills with the prospects Smh

So Phil's had an 18th and 19th overall pick to turn into quality players. I don't need to look up the odds on that one to know that's highly unlikely
You're also forgetting Baker and Galloway, who are scrubby, but decent enough reserves
That makes 2-6, so 33%, or if you're only looking at drafted guards, 2-3
BaF Lakers:

Nikola Topic/Kasparas Jakucionis
VJ Edgecombe/Jrue Holiday
Shaedon Sharpe/Cedric Coward
Kyle Filipowski/Collin Murray-Boyles
Alex Sarr/Clint Capela

Bench: Malcolm Brogdon/Hansen Yang/Rocco Zikarsky/RJ Luis Jr.

I've come around a bit on both Frank and Isaac. I'm content with any of the following:

Any top 5 that drops
Smith/Monk
Frank/Isaac

Anyone besides the above and I'd just be depressed.

The only thing that may happen is ball goes 3 instead of 2. Suns taking Tatum kings fox Orlando is the mystery of that take dsj or Issac. That's where things get interesting. Minn gonna take Issac if he's there. Most likely we gonna choose between dsj and frank and Phil is taking frank.

Does the blown Rubio trade count?

At least they are reported to want to find a long term solution. I'll believe it when I see it

His jumper isn't broken, but his outside shooting was pretty horrific in college. I can't remember where I heard this, but I think he shot like 20 something percent on unguarded catch and shoots. The 3 point line is now further back for him.

outside shooting, strength, and frame are concerns...passing ability not elite either

still really like him tho

He's definitely a Phil type
Big PG
Unselfish, team first
Plays both sides

Don't know what Gaines likes, but Phil for sure likes him

Red flag. No Gaines endorsement = no go. Of course, Knicks aren't playing their hand, so we won't know what Gaines thinks until after the draft.

Phil trusts Gaines too much to draft any player that doesn't have his seal of approval.

it doesn't matter. hes a point guard with a suspect 3 point game. Today's point guards require them to be a threat from three. otherwise, they are pretty useless. ( Rondo, Rose)

Fultz Ball Jackson Tatum Isaac Fox will go 6 of the top 7. DSJ Monk or Frank will be our choice to make.

Makes me wish we had something outside of KP that would entice DAL enough to get #9

That's exactly what I was thinking. I'm leaning towards Tatum likely falling in that scenario of the Isaac going 4th. I can't see so many teams passing on Fox. But, if it happens:

Do you see Fox going beyond SAC?

As much as i want Fox, I'd pencil him in for the kings

I'd take DSJ falling

Ok let's go over this again the president of our team has publicly stated. His highest priority is "perimeter defense". His least priority is "athletic ability". What part of that equation makes any of u believe we are taking DSJ. I'm not saying I agree or disagree with Jackson I'm just stating facts.

Suns taking Isaac or Monk would shake up the draft a little.

It should improve the odds DSJ might fall to the Knicks.

A lot of people think it will be Isaac.

From much of our perspective, if they want to keep Bledose and are not enamored with Fox (I'm not), then a frontcourt rotation of Bender/Isaac/Chriss who can all switch onto 3s -5s defensively, hit 3s, and block shots, would potentially be a great future rotation if they all pan out.

Then we have a traditional 3 in Warren and we can have a traditional 5. Between those 5 players, they could avg 32 mpg each...probably the traditional C gets less (20-25) and some others get a little more than 32, and we play small (though not that small with Bender and Isaac's length), and more position less much of the rest of the time. We still could potentially trade Bledsoe...perhaps even for another lotto pick if a PG we like is there between 9-13.

I'd be a little surprised and very disappointed if we take Monk.

Interesting...i died make sense. if the Fox and Tatum go next, i wonder who the Wolves would take then?

As a knicks fan,i just want to see as many guards fall as possible.

Ohhh I left one thing out. The owner of our team has publicly stated, "our president has complete control over basketball decisions." So again what makes any of these descriptions make any of u believe we taking DSJ

Here's some players taken after the 19th pick in the 2015 draft.

Justin Anderson
Bobby Portis
Rondae Hollis Jefferson
Tyus Jones
Larry Nance
Guillermo Hernangomez
Josh Richardson

Not really that strong of players taken after Jerian Grant but if i went with hindsight then of course there's a couple i would of taken over Grant.
