Mags, I'm apologizing now. Please forgive me.

I was planning on doing work around my house because I don't have a kitchen, cabinets, bedroom, full bathroom, etc because I'm working on it.

But my doctor told me that I'm not allowed to drink hard liquor anymore. I've been saving a bottle of Cockspur rum, tho, for when the knicks were finally cut loose from the last 7 year **** show that has been Melo - even my dad called me to congratulate on the knicks getting rid of him because he remembers how pissed I was the day the knicks traded for him. And he hates sports.

So I'm saying sorry now for anything I may write today. You may want to temporarily suspend me. I'm so happy right now.......this must be what having a child is like - it's finally the start of something great!

With Melo gone, I now see the young knicks team scraping into the playoffs, barring injuries.

Weak east. Nothing to lose so less pressure. But most of all, finally players who will adapt to team play and defense.

I'm seeing 34-41 wins now. Had the knicks at 28-32 with Melo

What does that say about Melo if your predictions were even close to being correct?
My eyes glaze over when reading alternative stat (not advanced stat) narratives that go many paragraphs long. If you can not make your point in 2 paragraphs it may not be a great point. :D

Why would I bet you? I think you have a better than even chance of being correct. That screams addition by subtraction.

OKC squad is scary alright-- for OKC fans. That usage is a recipe for turmoil and underachieving, especially with the horrible defense Melo plays nowadays.

So OKC will win less than the 50 win mark you predicted for the Knicks this season if they traded Melo?

Cool. Have fun being a band wagoner who lost his fan card. You not welcomed back.

Yes he is.
You and no one else gets to pull fan cards unless you want yours pulled too.

I just did. You can't leave a team and come back when they're good.

sad day. thanks melo for making stay up all night in germany and watching this **** team way easier to handle.

greatest memories for me are(in no order):

41 points in the playoff win vs. miami.
62 points against charlotte.
50 points just on jump shots in miami.
easter game with the three pointers against the bulls.
stepping up in Indiana in Game 6 and hitting jumper after jumper.
lot of game winning shots (even last year had plenty).
scoring title and 3rd in MVP voting 2013.

thanks and GO OKC.

I can see that point of view...it might not work out, the on-court chemistry could be suspect...the talent level is crazy tho

great players seem to find a way to make it work more often than not

also, i know you have a lot of other things to worry about, but:

can you check on me in a few days?

i'm already hammered, but i'm also installing a bunch of GFCIs, puck lights, and outside light fixtures right now. so i'll either be dead/concussed from being shocked, or i'm recovering from my 4 day hangover due to celebrating today.

Not even the entertaining type of anger. Just more bitter vitriol from the same posters who wanted to cut him and get nothing or worse, justified trading for a longer, larger, contract for a worse player.

Rinse and repeat.

Wow did I really say the Knicks would win around 50 games if they traded Melo? I could have sworn I said 40 games-- you agree there's a chance for that surely.

OKC won 47 games last season. I could see them winning 48-55 games but faltering badly in the playoffs. Who is going to take up the defensive slack for Melo? You're asking a lot of Roberson and Paul George. Like KP he can't be in two places at once on defense. We've seen this movie before. Gaudy regular season record but not really built for the playoffs. Last year they lost in the first round in 5 games to a team that plays no defense. You have to be in fantasy land to expect much better playoff results this coming season.

Outside of GS and SA I see a ton of jockeying. Minnesota will be in the playoff mix even though Wiggins will be overpaid and under-deliver. Clippers will not fall off as much as people expect, but they will fall off unless Gallo stays healthy and he and Griffin develop some real chemistry along the lines of Pierce and Garnett.
