Correct me if I'm wrong, but they didn't bring up Mudiay at all in that context. Sounds like they weren't impressed.

they also didn't bring up that scrub trey burke's name either until someone(3tohead?) shouted his name from the crowd.

i just can't see myself see fizdale preaching what he preaches, and then liking trey burke. dude is small and plays zero defense, 2 things fizdale doesn't like.

if thj/lee are small, then burke must be a prepubescent kid.

I have no doubt he'd help a contender, but where is the deal? I just don't think any team takes him and simply takes the salary. As you mentioned, a perfect team like Houston doesn't have the expirings to make a deal. The team has a small dilemma with Lee. If we don't play him and focus on the younger players, his trade value probably dips. If we play him and showcase him, that comes at the expense of the younger players. Hopefully a miracle happens and he's dealt before the season.

It'll happen during/after training camp, just like the Melo trade happened last season. Or it could happen in January/February.

EXactly, we’re in that part of the year where everyone’s excited to see the progress of their youth and are hoping that they’ll fill out their depth on the cheap...just like we are hoping that Dot makes Courtney expendable.

Once the rubber hits the road, contenders will have to deal with reality, and odds are that not every kid will be ready to step up.

Kanter will get a slight pass from me right now. So will a couple other guys like...Mud and even Timmy. I'm curious to see what Fiz can get out of them. Kanter is an MLE bench player IMO. I wouldn't mind keeping him as muscle and hustle off the bench. Spot starts if you need him. I'm also ok with trading him at the deadline If a good deal came up or, letting him walk.

I don't know why you think Fiz will develop these kids any better than Hornacek did. Don't forget, Hornacek did a great job developing Jarret Jack!

But didn't Fiz already say he was going to fix him? Must have run out of duct tape.

I dunno how you fix Mudiay, even if he's in great shape. I'm a Colorado Avalanche fan, so I hear from a lot of Nuggets fans about their team and I try to catch their games when I can...Jokic is just too much fun...and Mudiay's just never in his career shown he can make smart decisions with the ball, he's consistently been lazy defensively (with bad instincts), and his shot is about as broked it gets.

So, even though I expect Fiz to give him a shot; I don't really see any upside in Mudiay beyond becoming a poor man's Ntilikina...and that only if he realizes that he needs to start locking dudes up to keep getting an NBA paycheck. I'm much more intrigued to see what Fiz can do for Ntilikina, THJ, Burke, Trier, Dotson & Baker's development.

Listened to it again last night and he did mention Mudiay along with Mario when he mentioned they were high pick busts, hungry and taking things seriously. True someone in the crowd mentioned Burke but, that doesn't mean he wasn't going to be mentioned.

Well, it doesn't hurt to see if Fiz can fix another kid. He costs us next to nothing and isn't a long term burden. So if he can start to play, kudos to coach. If not, I hear there's no import tariff on American players in China.
