Ingram at the max is better than Randle at a discount

Hell nah. Even now that his shot is falling Ingram is a "good scorer on a bad team" type player. Like Kevin Martin was.

Randle isn't better, but both of them looked equally as good as each other in New Orleans. Remember Randle averaged 25.0/7.7/3.4 on 57.7 TS% when AD got benched last year. Ingram is averaging 25.1/6.8/4.2 on 59.7 TS%. They're basically the same type of guy, Ingram will just cost twice as much.

Honestly, the SGA comparison was completely statistical, nothing to do with stylistic

He's much more Lonzo than SGA, but more of the way I think Lonzo was supposed to be than what he's been so far

Lonzo has been much better the past month or so. The thing with Lonzo is and always has been if he can get the jumper to at least semi- reliable status then he's instantly a 30 mpg guy who helps you win.

I haven't watched enough of Halliburton to form an opinion but it seems as though he's a similar guy with a little less upside than Lonzo IMO.

All the top guards mentioned sans Lamelo are going to be able to play 20-25mpg as a rookie and produce.

Lamelo is a project that’s going to need 2-4 years to figure out what he is as a player because he ain’t gonna be able to score as a pg immediately. Not with that shot.

And we know what happens when you draft pgs that can’t score

True but he's very aggressive so he's going to shoot often. Players like that, especially ones that shoot 75% of FTs like he has in Australia this year (on not many attempts tbf), improve their shots rapidly.

Knicks should be focused on adding more picks in case they need to trade up in the draft like Dallas did for Luka, LaMelo can be that guy

I’m all for lamelo. But what’s the next steps that best suit a roster where lamelo and Barrett are your 1/2 combo.
The shooting is worrisome

I view rj as a 3 and i think he will improve enough to become a threat from 3.

Lamelo
Bullock
Rj
Knox
Mitch

Should suffice until we find a longterm sg.

this isn't the nfl where trading a lottery pick and a 2nd rounder can convince a team to trade you a top 3 pick. the mavs traded a future first to move up 2 spots in order to draft him.

Yeah or just take Jalen Green in the 2021 draft with one of our two firsts

This is a multi multi year tank

I would take Lamelo over Haliburton cause his handle is elite and he can hit jumpers off the dribble. Yes he's inefficient but he's also going up against grown men. I'll take the chance on him if Wiseman and Edwards are off the board

I think Lonzo’s emergence is helping LaMelo’s stock whether we are conscious of it or not.

He raised his stock all he could. Time to lock himself in a gym until draft time and work on that jumper.

He has B-U-S-T written all over him. Lamelo Bust.

And of course (!) we'll win the lottery and draft him.
