"RJ 0-10 with the starters, 5-8 with the bench. All his scoring came playing with the bench unit...We need to make a line up change man. He does work with the starters because his jumpshot is broken right now and the paint is clogged as hell with the starting unit.

At least with the bench he gets to run and attack the basket more freely."

This goes back to my pace point. RJ gets his points in the flow of the offense, since he is playing with Randle he doesn't get to handle the ball as much which explains his low usage. If we are going to play slow in the half court with Randle and Payton we should play RJ with the bench and insert a shooter. Would make the offense so much easier.

the problem is twofold: RJ is a struggling b/c he can't shoot and he's struggling b/c those around him can't shoot

whats bad is Haliburton was CAA and we still passed on him.

Frank put fear into folks now thinking any player with his build at the PG spot is the next Frank. But Haliburton is so much better. Haliburton was definitely undervalued, on this board and by some front offices as well because he fell too low than he should have.

So, in essence you can say Frank prevented us from getting Donovan Mitchell, SGA and Haliburton. my goodness...

RJ is going to have to fix something: Bad jumpshot. Not quick or explosive in the halfcourt. Basic handle. Craftiness/guile is limited due to handle and stiffness of posture. In this offense, though, you might as well replace him with Knox in the starting lineup if you're looking to space the floor for Randle. And honestly, might as well so you can boost Randle's value, along with Burks when he comes back. This team is certainly going to play hard under Thibs, but there just isn't enough talent to get you through a 70, 80 game season with a winning record.

Be patient with RJ. I think he will play better once Rivers gets in the starting lineup at PG. Rivers can shoot and he is not as ball dominant as Payton. Rivers started tonight and if we lose our next game I think Bullock will replace Payton instead of Rivers.

Also I am glad Knox barked back at Randle instead of nodding his head and apologizing. That was a terrible pass from Julius

Bro, I was PLEADING for them to either be aggressive and trade up for LaMelo or stand pat and take Haliburton. I had them as the clear top two PGs. We did neither.

In a vacuum I agre le with you but the draft is supposed to be drafting for the next decade, not the next year. Free agency is for needs. It’s clear their move for a point guard was moving up a few spots for IQ.

IQ is not the type of PG who can be a floor leader and an engine for a team. He's a combo guard.

Yes. And he's very ypung. But the game doesn't create many floor generals any more. They just go out and score, too.

We should’ve drafted Haliburton and RJ is a scrub. All these kids here who follow high school ball fell in love with him because he dominated in Canada.

I seem to remember people here didn't want Haliburton after they saw the form on his shot during pre-draft workouts. They were either clowning on him or saying "Ewwww.....no thanks."

But dude shot 42% from 3 in college, ugly form and all, and was scoring at all 3 levels to go along with very good defense.

He got the "Frankiburton" tag, as well as Fred VanFelton.


So many people here didn't want FVV, Haliburton and Hayward, now just think of how good we'd be if we had those 3 or any combo of 2 of them
