Well now we have to pay OG and Hartenstein is expiring so there’s those issues

We have OGs bird rights so we can sign someone and then sign him right?

No. No money to spend. No free agents. Only trades.

Many of us here begged for more of McBride as opposed to Quickley

Knicks fans should unite around the fact that neither IQ or McBride are all that good and very challenged at getting into the paint or turning the corner on a defender, breaking down the defense. Both seem to shoot 3's and play nice defense though.

Deuce showed some excellent attacking ability last night. He had some beautiful finishes in the paint and then those wrap around passes to Randle and Hartenstein after he drove were just spectacular. I’ve never seen IQ make those type of reads in his entire career. Deuce also has shown a mid range game which IQ lacks. IQ will go for the step back 3 all the time whereas Deuce has shown more of an in between game to go along with his outside shooting. To me he’s just an overall better player than IQ.

I think Deuce will be fine. I think he can replace IQ, especially next year, where his game will take off like IQ's did, getting better at getting into the paint, running a team etc.

Still puts his ceiling at 6th man, backup PG and the Knicks team lacking that 2nd attack the paint creator. That's a different discussion, where the Knicks will probably get those abilities at SG, and Donte can take his rightful place as a bench player.

*IQ added the mid range stuff this year.
McBride seems to be starting with a more well rounded set of skills though, so interesting to see how that develops, if he gets the chance.

I think so yeah, unless he has some crazy breakout like Brunson but that’s not expected.

I don’t think they necessarily need an attacking 2 guard especially because they rely so much on Brunson and Randle to do a lot of interior scoring. Donte shooting the way he has is exactly what they need from that position. The biggest issue seems to be on defense and missing another big wing who can cover ground and defend multiple positions because Randle and Brunson are such weak links there and overall the roster is very guard heavy and lacks size on the wings. But then you have to compromise something because what you might gain on defense you might lose on offense especially with the way Donte has been shooting so it becomes interesting. Another OG would be ideal, like Mikal Bridges but I doubt Nets look to deal him especially to the Knicks. Another thing is we need a backup Center.

His shot sometimes looks great and other times scary awful. Lol.

One thing for certain though... that brother can and does play DEFENSE. At one moment, he literally guarded 3 people on one possession... just crazy good!! Stats will NEVER speak to his impact

6-1 in OG era. Would be 7-0 if refs didn’t cheat

Great game by McBride, Hartenstein.

OG also filled the stat sheet. 18 pts 5 reb 2 ast 1 stl 4 blk. Randle had his 24 11 and 5 despite some turnovers to lead all scorers. Flynn stepped up with 9 pts 3 ast and a steal in 9 mins

Missed the game but nice to see we stood on business once again. Thanks Leon for this trade! 6-1!!

Thibs 500th win. Over 60 of those were with Elfrid and Burks as starting pgs which makes it more incredible. Its easy when you got Tony Parker, Curry or Jordan

I'm glad Randle admitted he played like **** cause his effort in the first half was embarrassing. Thankfully Thibs seemed to have chewed them out at half time and we started to get serious in that 3rd quarter. Deuce and Evil Divo did a nice job. Big Hart with 20 and 4. It's becoming routine and expensive to keep.

Props to Thibs on 500 wins. He's not perfect and he does **** that annoy me but he's done a good job of fixing the culture and winning. He's about to make the playoffs 3/4 years and that seemed like a pipe dream before he got here. So give Thibs his flowers.

And we are lucky the team ignored that begging and built up quickley’s value so we could trade it for high value

Plus it allowed us to sign McBride for chump change so if he’s actually good we have him on a cheap deal

Randle is 3rd in the league in total minutes behind White and Derozan. That is only because Chicago has played 2 more games than the Knicks. His willingness to always play no matter what is his biggest strength and detriment. He is worn out and the body and mind start slipping when he can't get up for these types of games. I don't want to make excuses for him but that is what I believe is happening.

Knicks need to find out who said this to a reporter and then fine the sh*t out of them.

There's no reason to say stuff like this. It's a bad, unprofessional look.

I'm going with Andy Greer. He seems like a Thibs cultist, exactly like Thibs but an even more uncompromising zealot.

Look at him.
