Burks is here to give Jalen a breather at the PG position because Deuce still looks a little shaky running the offense.

Burks is not a PG. Bro cannot run an offense, calls only his own number or passes it away at the top of the key to the other guard to run the play. Burks needs to be a spot up shooter or an iso scorer off the bench that we sometimes go to. Thibs thinking he's a PG is the worst part of Burks being back. Watch Burks on any other team and he is never in this role except for like his rookie season with the Jazz.

Otherwise it's just another bonehead move by him. Any reasonable coach would rip into that garbage crew.

Why he did it B4 over a month ago about Brunson and nothing happened

that's 10 without mcbride and he wants to play 9. and the way he plays precious so many minutes makes me doubt he'll be out of the rotation. i'll give him a chance though to find his rhythm.

burks is never going to have a consistent rhythm. the man is shooting 39% from the field for the season. he's always going to have hot and cold shooting nights. its just annoying to see him hijack the offense 95% of the time he gets the ball. giving thibs burks back was a dangerous thing to do. hes going to stay in this rotation

He’s a small wing, and has to look at the ball to dribble.

Precious isn't getting any minutes when the injuried players return.

when healthy?...at this point with thibs there is a good chance we will never be healthy. Likely just DD for some time (if its a hammy) it will be weeks.

neither of them can run an offense but at least deuce will move the ball and take quality shots while playing defense

If anything him kicking into Brunson and the Brunson slightly fouling him it should've been a double foul. Penalties offset. Play overtime

Not when his roster is all out by the end of the season. Then it's gonna be a GLeague roster.

Burks has already reduced Deuce so I'll say something else I hope isn't true: I am sure Thibs does not see Bojan the way you guys do vis-a-vis OG.

This is not some situation where OG is going to play 35-40 minutes and Bojan 10-15. I doubt it.

You have to understand that Thibs doesn't care how guys look to us or even how well the team played.

He comes from a school of scoring options (weird for a defensive coach but true) and Bojan and Burks give him the varied scoring he thinks is needed in an NBA game, even though it actually produces no results as far as winning.

But his comfort zone is having a guy like Burks available to shoot a 3 or to "break down the defense off the dribble if other things break down." He's not a patient or normal person so to him, not knowing what's going to happen at end of a shot clock is not okay. It's more important to him than winning to know that someone like Burks is there to dribble it in ... or Bojan is there to sweep in for a skilled layup ... if he gets anxious and wants a score.

His anxiety is not about winning per se, but rather about having pieces out there who can handle and score in diff ways. That's where his anxiety lies and he doesn't care about the rest.

Thus Deuce is done. And don't be surprised at all if OG is like barely playing more minute than Bojan during the playoffs. It won't be some huge disparity, is my sad prediction.

Now I'll bookmark this and link you to it in a few months. But is it out of personal pride? No, not at all. I just want to see the Knicks win.

But I think Thibs is a real problem. He's a narrowminded guy who doesn't see guys like Deuce growing. All he cares about is getting back to his comfort zone of playing "multifaceted" bums like Alec Burks, even if his defense sucks.

I'm willing to give Randle one more try in the playoffs ... but obviously Thibs has never hesitated at all about playing Randle tons of minutes -- despite huge deficiencies that Randle brings -- and he never will. Give me scoring options baby, at all costs. Randle could go 10-28 and give up 50 points and Thibs will play him 35MPG.

You guys don't know what you're up against. Thibs is a security blanket kind of guy and not having guys who can score in different ways is THE thing that keeps him up at night.
