It has been the release valve when teams are doubling Jalen all night. Teams will have to adjust sooner or later. The pressure to get the ball out Jalen's hands has been non stop. Hart is helping the team with what he is doing. They are still treating him like a non scoring factor and he is taking advantage. With the way OG/KAT are scoring and Mikal coming around, teams are gonna be caught off guard if they keep trying to pressure Jalen. Things are balancing out as they all find their groove.

It's a different look/feel than the last two seasons but, they are coming together. When the bench gets healthy we are going to be a problem. Thibs has plenty to work with if we have a full bench. Hopefully he realizes that and trusts them more.

Has Thibs ever mentioned anything about playing KAT at the 4? I know many of us expect him to get minutes at the 4 next to Mitch when he returns but why wait until halfway through the season to make such a significant change? The team is thin at the wings at the moment with them being used at the 4 and the lack of depth due to injuries and inexperience.

Thibs says he likes Sims rim protection and he has Huk on the bench. He could get a look at KAT at the 4 for small stretches if he chose to. Are we sure KAT will get minutes at the 4 this season? Maybe if Mitch returns healthy KAT's minutes become less necessary at the 5 but the team also needs a 4 more now than they will possibly need it later if OG remains healthy and Precious returns.

Minnesota made KAT and Gobert work together over time but waiting until January to see if KAT and a more traditional rim protector can work for Thibs seems a long time to wait. Why not try it now? Maybe it introduces too many variables early in the season. Maybe Thibs is trying to limit Sims and Huks minutes as much as possible for now. I don't know.

In 62 mins played this season, Huk has 8 blocked shots....in 174 mins played, Sims has 5 blocked shots.

Oh...and let me add you already can actually see players avoid driving into the paint for an awaiting Huk that Sims gets no such respect.

Hart actually has a better assist to turnover ratio than Brunson right now too, and they're both averaging above 6 apg.

Though I agree the minutes were exaggerated, none of our injuries last season were fatigue-related.

What? all non contact injuries are fatigue related. That's how it happens, you can only bend for so long without adequate recovery before you break. hell even randle was thibs fault, he didnt need to be out there

And what non contact injuries we had last season? Hart's abdominal strain is the only one I can remember. And Randle's injury was a contact injury.

What I said before is true. We had a lot of contact injuries that forced Thibs to increase the minutes of the remaining players.

And I'm not even defending Thibs. The critique of playing starters in garbage time is perfectly valid and he has been overplaying guys this season.
