Yeh we need to keep Mitch and play him with KAT, have Huk off the bench for 10-15mpg.

For the center position, maybe Mitch can play himself into 20-25mpg, Huk 10-15mpg, and KAT 8-18mpg.

Playing KAT with another big man helps your defense so much. That's how the timberwolves made it to the WCF.

There's a cap on it though, and it's if the opponent has a big enough 4 to guard KAT while penalizing us for having the 5 that can't score. That's ultimately what happened to them in the playoffs.


I think it would work against the Cavs and Pacers, but the Celtics have wings big enough to guard KAT.

You have a point, but I don't think Huk is a liability on offense like Gobert is. He has a lil bag but Thibs has him playing that rim runner role right now. I think KAT is getting better at scoring against wings. He was pretty dominant against the rockets yesterday.

IMO in order for KAT at the 5 to work we would really need to be the best offensive team in the league. I'd rather take hit on offense to be a balanced team on both ends.

If you're going to play KAT at the 4, the perfect thing would be to have another floor spacing big next to him so that the opponent is cooked no matter what they do. Like, imagine him next to Brook Lopez, Horford or someone like that, just having him next to another interior big puts a cap on things.

Mikal is worth every pick and every penny, and it's for reasons that aren't even a surprise - it's EXACTLY what every single person said about him being the perfect piece before the trade was even thought to be possible - perfect fit, takes nothing of the table, compliments everyone seamlessly.

At the half the dude has 9 points, 0 reb, 0 asst, 0 stl, 0 blk, and 2 to, and yet he's a team leading +20.

Even on nights where it doesn't seem like he's doing stuff, he's doing stuff. Just the ultimate team player for a roster with clearly pre-established leaders/stars.

Yeah ideally you would play him next to a defensive big that could stretch the floor like Brook lopez (@capn'o). But we ain't got one lol. But personally, I would roll the dice on a starting front court of Huk and KAT and see what happens.
