The Knicks were 20-27 at that point and looked terrible. It was over by then its safe to vent at a time like that. Its baffling to me that we went through all those dark sports days and we finally get a good coach and fans want to risk going back to those times again because the 5th string pg only got 17 minutes in a win. People are saying to literally get any coach. wild

You know people don’t want him gone solely because he didn’t start Kolek. I didn’t mind Delon starting, I like him, but people complaining about it were just venting. There’s a laundry list of reasons people really want him fired for.

I think people just want a coach who’s at least going to be willing to try to experiment to see what works and give the starters rest while simultaneously seeing what the rookies got to offer since the bench is already weak. That’s really not a lot to ask. It seems like most coaches in the league try different things throughout the season… Thibs doesn’t and it’s frustrating.

In the last 25 years of Knicks coaching who experimented and had success from that? Is the next coach going to experiment or do more of the same? The Knicks are not going to be the team to try out ideas when usually every coach gets fired in 2 years. Maybe in OKC and Canada they can experiment where no one cares if you suck for a long time. If we got a new coach today he will immediately be on the hot seat to win now.

Those were trash tanking teams that’s why. How do you not know the difference? This is a playoff team where the coach is running the starters into the dirt causing injuries before the playoffs… again. This is a false equivalency. Par for the course for Thibs stans

Funny that you complain about minutes yet have a Spree avatar.

Broooo  please sit down. How many times we gotta go over this? The game today is much different in terms of pace and constant motion compared to 20+ years ago. At this point, these types of takes are unacceptable. You should be ashamed of yourself

It's always strawman or hyperbole and flat out lies that they troll the board with. Then act like it's justifiable and the people they disagree with are wrong about everything. Even though they never actually discuss what people actually say. They just make up talking points and beat them to death even though they are not true. It's one thing to bust balls. It's another to constantly lie and twist words while coming at people and doubling down when called on it. Every day. All day. You want to discuss the team or the game and you have pages being dedicated to pissing contests about BS. There is a thread for that now. Take it over there. I don't want to read that shyt and it's most of the people I have on ignore but, others quote them and I have scroll by looking for relevant or even just a worthwhile conversation about whatever the topic is.

We’ve had a lot of coaches who’ve tried different things over the years, our teams have just always sucked with the exception of like 1-2 seasons. Trying different things doesn’t guarantee anything, but forcing things that aren’t working doesn’t get you anywhere at all.

I don’t understand why a coach couldn’t adapt and learn during the season? If your schemes aren’t working, you’re saying it’s unacceptable to try new ones? This is why we get the shyt kicked out of us by the top teams, because we keep doing the same things expecting different results. I don’t see how continuing to force a square peg into a round hole helps you keep your job.

Nobody here knows 0.0000000000001% as much about coaching as Tom Thibodeau does. He’s one of the best basketball coaches in the entire world, given his long career coaching at the highest level of basketball and 2x Coach of the year awards in a league with only 30 coaches. He understands the game and how to deal with players better than nearly anybody on the planet. On the other hand most people here sit around their mom’s basement eating Doritos and smoking a bong while trashing the Knicks on the internet 24/7. So yeah I’m good with the 17 minutes

Theyre both kinda inconsistent with it so a 3a/3b works.

None of it is gonna matter if our 1st isn't back soon. I'm ready to buy into the lie and go all in for Knicks playoffs. Cause having a first option like Brunson means on any given night we can have the best player on the court and that's something I can believe in. Solid wing defenders, mitch healthy manning the paint, kat doing kat things. LFG!!!!!

Good for you. When players discuss being tired and playing too many minutes though, then there's a discussion to be had. A legit fact based discussion. When people from every stop he's ever had all say the same things there is some validity to the non professional fans concerns. It's players and announcers all saying the same things the fans are but, somehow, we are all morons who smoke donuts in our mom's basement. Makes perfect sense.

I'm glad Tyler got at least 17 minutes. He definitely could have played more though. The team played well while he was out there. That much cannot be denied. So some of us would have preferred a longer look. Is that crazy to suggest? He earned it by helping the team produce. The team performed better with him than with Wright after the 1st qtr. We won in the end and they both helped hold it down so, no harm no foul.

So by this logic nobody is allowed to criticize any player either because they’re all fat stoners sitting in their mom’s basement and don’t have 0.0000000000001% the athletic ability or skill and knowledge of the game that they do? Makes sense.

The top teams beat us because of a huge talent gap. I dont see Kolek or a new scheme changing that. agree to disagree

This team is a pretender!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And will never beat any good teams as long as thibs is the hc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s hard to get excited and talk in-depth about a win that’s pretty much meaningless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And We don’t just lose to the good teams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We get embarrassed by 30 and sometimes 40+points!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I kinda understand why there’s a lot of “trolling” going on in this postgame thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
